Job Description:
Position Narrative (Overview) - Paymentus is seeking a Manager,
Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting with duties across the
Corporate Accounting/Finance department. This position will report
to the VP of Accounting. The individual in this position will work
with a dynamic team of dedicated professionals who are committed to
excellence in fiduciary and financial accountability and reporting.
Primary responsibilities include ensuring the timely completion and
filing of all Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reports
related to the consolidated financial statements of the Company.
Supporting senior management in documenting accounting policy
decisions and researching complex accounting issues is another key
focal point of this position. The ideal candidate will have a
thorough understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, as
well as financial policies and controls, attention to detail, and
the ability to deliver work products with a high level of accuracy
while consistently meeting related deadlines. Due to the cyclical
nature of SEC reporting as well as the fast paced environment, this
position may be involved in supporting other areas and working on
special projects.
Core Responsibilities: - Oversee the preparation of the annual
report on Form 10-K and quarterly reports on Form 10-Q, earnings
release and other SEC reporting requirements - Oversee and
participate in other processes as needed to ensure proper
disclosures of all material items in the Company's SEC reports,
including the Company's disclosure committee - Incorporate
multi-company reporting into monthly management and external GAAP
reporting - Research and document the implementation of new
accounting standards, complex or unusual transactions and maintain
corporate accounting policy guidance - Prepare the monthly
accounting for stock-based compensation, including recording the
monthly expense, recording option exercises and validating
information in the equity compensation system. Work with legal and
HR to ensure the accuracy of all equity related transactions -
Support management in analyzing results, issuing financial related
reports, and preparing quarterly equity roll forwards - Review and
oversight of XBRL filing requirements - Responsible for the
adequacy of documentation and review of internal controls and
compliance with SOX 404 for all related processes for the
preparation of the SEC filings - Help prepare information for
independent auditors. Perform account reconciliation oversight
reviews for all general ledger accounts under your responsibility;
including stock-based compensation, leases, and capitalized
software
Must-have Requirements: - Experience working directly with the
senior leadership team outside of corporate finance, including
legal and HR - Certified Public Accountant, Certified Public
Accountant candidate or Masters' degree in a business-related field
- Relevant experience, including experience in a public accounting
firm preferably to a manager level - Thorough understanding of GAAP
and SEC regulations policies and controls - Knowledge of Microsoft
Office suite with expert level Excel and PowerPoint skills -
Ability to meet strict deadlines, both independently and as part of
a team - Detail oriented, with the ability to deliver products with
a high degree of accuracy - Strong verbal and written skills, with
the ability to convey complex information - Effective
prioritization and management of multiple projects - Available to
work across time zones with flexibility to follow-up on items
outside of business hours, including weekends - Strong technical
accounting research skills - Experience establishing corporate
accounting policy - Knowledge base of general ledger and
consolidation software packages
