The Xbox Games Business Planning Team is seeking a Senior Business Planner to drive critical business, product and marketing decisions & strategy for our first party games business. Our 23 game development studios across Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks focus on delivering great games for everyone, wherever they play - on console, portable computer (PC), cloud, or mobile devices. We're responsible for developing and publishing some of the biggest franchises in history: Age of Empires, Forza, Gears, Halo, Minecraft, Fallout, Microsoft Flight Simulator, DOOM, The Elder Scrolls, and many more. As a Senior Business Planner you will work closely with team members in marketing, studios, finance, research, marcom, data services and more, to develop, guide, implement and optimize business planning, studio support and strategic initiatives.     • 5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience
      • OR equivalent experience.Additional or Preferred Qualifications
        • 8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field
          • OR 6+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field
          • OR equivalent experience.
          • A member of the gameing community and interest in the games industry.
          • Experience analyzing data and telling a story with the resulting findings, and translating this into actionable, impactful recommendations. Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.

            • Apply games industry knowledge for successful cross-organizational execution of plans. You'll drive and help ensure the actual plan is executed, land overall strategy, and drive alignment to that strategy.
            • Conduct games marketing effectiveness analysis, including evaluation of marketing trends and tactics (examples: fiscal year revenue, player and engagement forecasting and targeting; pricing strategy; player behavior analysis; marketing plan consulting, etc.).
            • Perform portfolio intelligence insights & analysis for first party games, including user behaviors in spend and engagement (examples: Monthly Business Review reporting; pre-launch and launch reporting; microtransactions spending behavior; development milestone support; title performance within Game Pass, etc.).
            • Develop future games business strategy and opportunities across consumers, devices, business models, geographies (examples: long range planning; concept/pitch evaluations and mock reviews; machine learning total addressable market and audience segmentation analysis; games industry 3-5 year outlook; growth markets to target; etc.).
