Microsoft's Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft's Cloud-first strategy. We are looking for a talented and motivated Finance Director - - AI Strategy and Productivity Lead Long range and M365 Copilot to help shape the future of our Office 365 cloud and AI properties.The MSIO Modern Workplace margin workload planning Finance team is responsible for margin strategy and investment optimization for cloud properties including M365 Copilot.Microsoft 365 (M365) is a very exciting space where we are seeing growth across AI and classic office properties driving expansion of portfolio creating need for new roles. This role will focus on new workloads which are growing at a very fast pace like Viva, Microsoft stream etc. It is an amazing opportunity to own workloads independently and drive engagement across pricing, business health and cogs efficiencies across engineering, business planning and revenue. In addition to this, this workload lead will own and drive M365 usage intensity to help inform our key engineering and finance leaders on progress through metrics like cost per monthly average user, and cost per gigabyte as well as lead inputs needed for M365 deals specifically.Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related fieldOR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related fieldOR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications:Established leadership skills with analytical modeling and strategic thinking Proven data and financial modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial systems Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way. - Demonstrated results proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project through both individual and v-team efforts Collaborative partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back as required Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliverFinancial Analysis M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation. This includes landing gross margin and - Profit and Loss (P&L) principles with engineering leaders to hit margin goals, lead the plan / whitepaper for 5-year gross margin plan, showcase efficiencies needed in next 5 years based on revenue trends to meet commitments, influence stakeholders like Azure platform efficiencies needed to support 1P)Liaison with M365 revenue team and business planning team on new features, own financial modelling for such features, including executive alignment on overall feature viability Own usage modelling and trends to understand Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) across workloads Partner with Cost-in finance stakeholders to develop models to land triangulation of demand to land cost-in and understand efficiencies / COGS optimizations margin goalsOwn demand signals for M365 Copilot across GPUs and server.
