Job Description Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is hiring Manufacturing Summer Help Assemblers that will work alongside our production teams. We are seeking individuals who wish to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, high-tech environment. In this role, a typical day might include the following: /n - Following detailed work instructions to perform basic production duties such as assembly, operating machinery, packaging products, building products and soldering. /n - Learning and following all safety policies. /n - Developing positive and effective working relationships with co-workers. /n - Following and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. /n /n This job might be for you if: /n - You demonstrate a willingness to learn, retain information and can become proficient in basic electronic production processes. /n - You obtain a basic understanding of quality and productivity standards. /n - You have an ability to listen, comprehend, and follow technical instructions. /n - You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. /n - You have an ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. /n - You have an ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. /n /n Physical Requirements /n - Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently /n - Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours /n - Vision correctable to 20/30 or better /n - Differentiate color /n - Reach /n - Bend /n - Kneel /n - Twist /n - Grip /n - Pinch /n - Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle and place parts with precision and accuracy for at least 8 hours /n /n Location We are currently hiring into multiple locations: /n - Pullman, WA /n - Lewiston, ID /n - Charlotte, NC /n - West Lafayette, IN /n - Lake Zurich, IL /n /n Pay Range Data New hires generally start at $20.00 per hour. Our swing shift also offers a shift differential of $1.75 per hour on top of the $20.00 starting wage.
