state-of-art display and optical technologies forward for AR/VR
products, which gives people the power to build community and bring
the world closer together. The team is responsible for technology
development and maturation, component design, novel manufacturing
processes and metrology development, and system integration of
display and optics for all AR/VR products. As a Metrology
Technician, you will join a highly cross-functional team tasked
with design, development, prototyping and production of optical
components to support AR optics productization. This role requires
close collaboration with internal cross functional partners and
external vendors to evaluate methodology to measure performance and
quality control, quality control and to performance.
Optical Metrology Technician Responsibilities

direction of senior optical test engineers.
Setup and execute optical validation tests per written procedure or
instruction.
Perform data analysis and test results summary for presentation to
the broader team. Generate formal test reports as needed.
Assist in development of new optical test setups, including
recommending test methods and identifying required test
equipment.
Designing, procuring parts, configuring, and validating up new test
setups.
Image quality metrics, optical characterization, and optical test
hardware.
Image quality evaluation and imaging science, statistical analysis,
correlation and GRR.
Experience using metrology instruments (imaging, colorimeter,
spectrometer, profilometer, interferometer, wavefront sensor,
etc.).
Image processing and algorithm development with high volume
production and test processes.
Perform hardware testing, system bring up, and design
validation.
Define, design and develop optical metrology solutions including
hardware engineering, test software implementation, and instrument
qualification.
