At our Redmond Washington facility we fabricate, assembly, and test
chemical and electric thrusters, as well as small scale propulsion
systems. - Our electric propulsion systems enable a wide variety of
missions from the exploration of our solar system to global
communication and the surveillance of severe weather and wild
fires. -
Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking Electric Propulsion Engineers (to
Specialist level) -to support the Redmond, WA, Los Angeles, CA or
West Palm Beach, FL site. Hybrid remote work maybe available. - -
The experienced candidate will support development, qualification,
and production of Hall thrusters, ion engines, arcjets, or other
electric propulsion products.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
As a member of the Engineering senior staff, the Engineering
Specialist will work with minimal direction and exercise
considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to
assignments. -They will guide the successful completion of major
projects and may function as a program technical team leader. - The
Specialist will act as an external spokesperson for the
organization on major matters pertaining to strategic plans and
objectives. - They will serve as a technical authority and provide
guidance and training to more junior personnel. -
Requirements
Requires a Bachelors of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, or other related discipline plus at least
five (5) -years of electric propulsion experience (or an equivalent
combination of postgraduate education and experience).
Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able
to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government
information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from
being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a
standard office setting and to use standard office equipment,
including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to
detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull
up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping,
crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and
a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person
and over the telephone. - May require the ability to travel by air
or auto. - May require the use of personal protective equipment
such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. - These
positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to
ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
Pay range for this position:100,000 - 147,333 per year

skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with
