growth. Find your future with us. The Boeing Defense, Space &
Security (BDS) KC-46 Tanker Program is seeking a Systems Engineer
to support the design, development, testing, and certification of
mission avionics systems for the KC-46 Pegasus aircraft. This role
involves system integration, test execution, technical management
of suppliers, and coordination of certification activities. This
position will be 100% onsite in Seattle, WA. The Boeing KC-46
Pegasus is the latest advanced aerial refueling tanker for the
USAF. It supports multiple missions including refueling, cargo and
passenger transport, and medevac airlift. Based on the Boeing
767-2C, the KC-46 is modified to meet USAF specifications for
aerial refueling using Hose & Drogue or Boom systems. It also
features self-defense and tactical awareness systems, enabling it
to operate closer to combat zones. We are currently developing new
system designs and upgrades for the KC-46 fleet. Join us at this
exciting time! Position Responsibilities: - Support engineering
design, development, analysis, testing, and certification of
mission avionics systems. - Ensure seamless integration of avionics
hardware and software with higher-level systems and platforms. -
Assist in defining, validating, and verifying system-level
requirements. - Develop test plans and procedures to support
certification activities. - Coordinate system-level integration of
mission avionics hardware and software. - Define and execute
critical tests to validate design performance against requirements.
- Manage technical aspects of suppliers and Boeing software teams
to ensure design compliance. - Support the full product lifecycle:
proposal, development, production, in-service support, and testing.
- Gather information for proposals and conduct trade studies for
future upgrades and new opportunities. - Coordinate FAA, military
certification, and Boeing airworthiness activities for mission
avionics. - Collaborate with specialty engineering teams (safety,
electromagnetic emissions, cybersecurity). - Provide
troubleshooting support for production labs and aircraft technical
issues. - Conduct technical investigations and Root Cause
Corrective Actions (RCCAs). This position will be 100% onsite in
Seattle, WA. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.
Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S.
Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance
Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required
Skills/Experience): - Bachelor of Science degree in engineering,
engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science from an accredited program. - 2 or
more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of
technical education and experience - Strong written and verbal
communication skills. - Ability to collaborate and work effectively
in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): - Level 3: 5 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience - ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical
engineering or a Master’s/PhD in electrical engineering. -
Experience with software development processes. - Knowledge of
Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principles. - Experience with
defensive systems, data networks, communication, navigation, flight
management, and mission control systems. - Familiarity with FAA
and/or military type certification requirements. - Experience
troubleshooting avionics, electronics, or aircraft systems. -
Experience managing avionics Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). -
Skills in hardware and software integration. - Experience in data
analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA). - Experience
managing technical subcontractors and suppliers. - Experience
developing and decomposing requirements. - Knowledge of aircraft
maintenance requirements, certifications, or airworthiness

Salary Range: Associate-Level 2: $96,600-$133,400 Mid-Level-Level
3: $119,850-$162,150 Applications for this position will be
