Job Description:
CalPortland, a stalwart in sustainable construction solutions
since 1891, is currently seeking an experienced Aggregate Plant
Operator-Electrician at our state-of-the-art facilities. This role
is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of
our aggregate production systems, focusing on electrical setup,
troubleshooting, and repair. The ideal candidate will bring a
robust understanding of both electrical systems and mechanical
operations in an industrial environment. By joining our dedicated
team, you will be instrumental in helping us maintain our
leadership in the construction materials market while pushing
forward our commitment to sustainable practices. Perform routine
electrical maintenance and troubleshoot issues in aggregate plant
operations. Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring,
receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, assembly panels, and
other electrical components. Test electrical and electronic
equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and
resistance. Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear,
transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors. Ensure
compliance with electrical code specifications and safety
standards. Work with other team members to ensure overall plant
efficiency. Train and guide junior technicians and operators.
Profound knowledge of electrical systems in industrial
applications. Ability to read and interpret electrical and
mechanical schematics and blueprints. Proficient in the use of
electrical diagnostic equipment. Strong troubleshooting and
problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part
of a team. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Valid Electrician’s license (e.g., Journeyman or
Master Electrician) is essential. Certification in Electrical
Safety and Compliance.
