Job Description:
The Sr. Electrical Safety Engineer leads comprehensive
electrical safety programs, ensuring compliance with standards
(OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC), developing policies, training, conducting
audits, investigating incidents, and providing expert guidance on
hazardous energy control (LOTO, electrical work and installation)
to prevent electrical injuries, manage risk, and foster a strong
safety culture across projects and facilities. This role provides
strategic leadership and technical expertise to establish,
implement, and maintain best-in-class electrical safety programs,
ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and internal
standards, while promoting a proactive safety culture for all
electrical work activities. This role provides expert field safety
guidance and consultation, develops and implements safety protocols
and standards, conducts in-depth analysis of electrical safety
challenges, delivers innovative solutions to complex safety issues,
and partners with teams across design, construction, launch, and
Amazon's contracted maintenance teams (RME) to ensure electrical
safety excellence. This is a unique opportunity to make a

with various electrical infrastructures. This role provides
specialist expertise to scale H&S compliance strategies that
support current and future business objectives while ensuring
employee safety. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated
electrical safety expert with solid knowledge in electrical safety
and electrical infrastructure, and a proven track record of
designing, deploying, and managing electrical safety programs. They
will have a history of building partnerships with diverse teams
across multiple jurisdictions. The candidate must have the ability
to define clear requirements in ambiguous situations, proactively
educate team members, support teams, and communicate effectively
and consistently throughout various levels of the business. The
role will evolve with the growth of the program and require a high
degree of flexibility, including the ability to deep dive into
time-critical programs and projects, and deliver continuous
improvement actions. Key job responsibilities Responsibilities: •
Ensure technician safety concerns are promptly addressed or
escalated to applicable stakeholders/support teams at the site,
regional, or network level. • Maintain an up-to-date understanding
of electrical safety regulatory requirements and be able to build
compliance systems and programs around these requirements. •
Develop and improve maintenance programs and policies for
electrical systems, including audits of existing programs in
compliance with local codes and global standards. • Partner with
equipment OEMs, Ops Engineering, RME, EHS Engineering, etc. on
equipment-related incidents where design or retrofits may be
necessary across multiple business units. • Engage with Amazon's
3rd party service providers to ensure compliance with regulatory
and Amazon EHS policy, assist with incident investigations, and
assist in clarifying Amazon policy. • Partner with Risk Management
and other key stakeholders on changes to electrical system
maintenance programs, aligning with regulatory requirements as
applicable, including system inspections and testing. • Inspect
installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with
design and equipment specifications and safety standards. • Support
operations, construction, and other relevant departments with
product development and testing. • Monitor trends in electrical
system maintenance and escalate as necessary to drive improvements
to maintenance activities, or immediate corrective actions to
electrical systems. • Assist with developing and improving
installation, commissioning, and inspection processes, including
audit practices related to electrical systems. • Stay attuned to
changing regulations and internal EHS performance to update
policies when required. • Develop a deep working relationship with
all regional and local engineering, maintenance, EHS, and support
teams. - BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent -
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to
detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in
managing and troublshooting network - Experience in a fast-paced,
high-tech company, or experience completing complex tasks quickly
with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to
situations that require a quick turnaround - Experience influencing
multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across
geographies and business units - Extensive experience (e.g., 10
years) in electrical safety, with proven leadership and management
experience. - Deep knowledge of electrical safety standards (NFPA
70E, OSHA). - Able to travel 30–50%. - Knowledge of building codes
and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA -
Experience with OSHA and other health and WHS regulatory
requirements - Experience in written and oral communication,
including the ability to communicate with all levels in the
organization (technical, business, executive) - Experience writing
and publishing technical documents or equivalent - Master's degree
in Electrical Engineering or Electrical safety preferred. - Have or
be working towards ASP, CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or CHMM certification.

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
