Job Description:

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

  • Create and implement a technical program management team structure which is chartered to manage and lead new server designs through the product lifecycle (from concept, through design pilot and mass production launch)
  • Lead and inspire an organization of 10+ technical program managers in a rapidly evolving business environment. Hold the team and individuals accountable for results and recognize appropriately.
  • Ensure aggressive NPI hardware development schedules are put in place & collaborate across organizations to achieve scheduled milestones.
  • Communicate program updates to broad audiences, up through Corporate Vice President level.
  • Foster relationships with engineering business partners to identify/influence new server technology roadmaps.
  • Assign program management resources to optimize impact to company .
  • Ensure company-- processes to launch new hardware into company-- Data Centers are followed. Identify opportunities to drive improvement in current processes and be a thought leader for enabling process efficiency and champion ideas for change.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment, generating clarity and partnering with peer organizations to remove barriers inhibiting efficient server platform launch.
  • Coach and provide development opportunities to help enable career development & growth for technical program managers on the team.
  • Serve as the escalation point for server platform development schedule or technical challenges which require support across organizations to drive to a successful resolution
  • Recognized as a strategic thinker with significant experience in server technology and/or technical program management.
  • Ability to effectively and communicate and collaborate across internal organizations to drive the right decisions for company-- .
  • Oversee the establishment of performance metrics and builds reliability into NPI process design by proposing improvements.
  • Able to effectively manage constructive conflict, resulting in improved team communication, and an exploration of all points of view.
  • Communicate program management vision and strategies for outstanding business results, including reducing end to end hardware development process latency.
  • Facilitate an environment of inclusion that leverages diverse perspectives and talent, to better represent and understand our global customers.
  • Work independently to manage competing priorities simultaneously
  • Effectively lead cross-organizational meetings to lead teams to consensus and/or decisions to maintain project schedules
  • Exhibit sound judgment in terms of balancing cost and risk
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and present to all levels of company-- management, up through CVP level.
  • Build a diverse team with capabilities needed to achieve current and future business objectives. Balance the development of existing employees while bringing in new external and internal talent.
  • Serves as a role model by demonstrating personal commitment to technical advancement. Guilds the organization to deliver high-quality and innovative products.
  • 12+ years' experience working in high technology related field, with server manufacturing related experience preferred.
  • 7 or more years of hardware/technical program management experience, or leading hardware program management teams. Preferred but not required that candidate have experience working directly with server hardware in a technical or supply chain capacity.
  • 5 or more years of leading team(s) as a direct manager. Previous track record of employee development and supporting employee career growth
  • Basic understanding of technologies used within server architecture.
  • Previous demonstrated ability leading complex technical programs/projects across organizations.
  • Previous accountability to represent project management and communicate at senior leadership levels.
  • Understanding of server manufacturing process desired
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred BS) required.
  • MBA (desired) in Operations Management, Program Management, Business, Supply Chain, or related technology equivalent industry experience
  • Direct technical program management experience or engineering experience in server technologies required
  • Supply chain management experience is a plus
