  • Employment type Full-Time The Data Platform + Growth (DPG) Executive Management Office is looking to fill a key role driving communications and community engagement. This role will take a leadership role in defining culture objectives for the organization in close partnership with the Chief of Staff, CVP, and DPG LT , and then creating and shepherding a strategic communications plan which help s realize those objectives.-- T he DPG team support s strategic growth initiatives for Experiences + Devices across a wide range of investments that enable s the Microsoft mission to deliver products, services, and devices that people, and organizations trust and love in all aspects of their lives at work, home and at school. DPG includes key teams including IDEAs, Taos, Employee Experience, the E+D Strategy team, and Growth + Experiences (including FastTrack). As part of the DPG executive office, it will be essential to operate with the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, inclusivity, and trust. This role will orchestrate across many stakeholders for core deliverables and requires an individual who is a great team player, a self-starter, strategic thinker and adaptable to jumping in to solve issues and drive solutions across the business. Responsibilities Drive culture in DPG and maintain CVP connection to the org : Drive comprehensive strategy to build a positive and inclusive culture in DPG in close partnership with the CoS , CVP, and DPG LT. Be an active member and /or driver of culture initiatives in the organization, including our Culture Committee, local incubation of Microsoft-wide D&I initiatives, and grassroots DPG community organizations. P roactively identify opportunities to integrate diversity, inclusion, and equity related topics into CVP communications and events. Communications strategy and development: Develop the internal and external communications platform and agenda reflecting the defined culture vision and thought leadership, business strategy , and organizational leadership for the DPG Corporate Vice President. Own plan for and execution of org engagement initiatives (All Hands, org emails, team newsletter, manager community, community events , etc ) . Develop and manage a communications calendar for internal and external communications and engagements, including gathering input from key stakeholders, talking points and collateral , and coordinating with guest speakers . External engagement : Drive the strategy for and management of CVP's customer connections and executive sponsorship relationships, leading briefing, prep, and content creation for external (customer, press, analyst) engagements. This will also include owning the CVP's external social media channels to continue establishing CVP as thought leader and effectively utilizing social media as an executive channel . We are looking for someone who is phenomenal at cross-team collaboration with a history of solving tough problems in complex environments; as well as someone who can demonstrate strong influence and impact skills. This role requires solid business acumen and deep analytical skills to be successful. Qualifications This is the role for a communications professional with deep domain expertise demonstrated in practice and with a proven track record of driving communications results that are aligned to business priorities. More specific qualifications and attributes are:
    • 5+ years in marketing or communications with a strong marcomm operation and production experience .
    • BA/BS in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field OR equivalent experience.
    • Strong collaboration skills - flexibility, proactiveness, teamwork, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
    • High capacity for multitasking and project management skills, able to manage multiple, high-stakes projects and deliverables simultaneously across workgroups and stakeholders.
    • Self-directed with great initiative and sense of ownership.
    • Demonstrated ability to synthesize the complex - able to take multiple, complicated, disparate inputs from a variety of materials, evidence, and long form messaging and transform it into simple, clear, succinct, elegant, and compelling communication work products like talking points, Q&A, social content, and similar.
