responsible for leading the development and incubation of new
technology categories working with a broad set of stakeholders
within Microsoft Research and across the company. We're looking for
someone with a well-rounded technical background, product marketing
experience, who thrives in a startup type environment where

role is about envisioning new categories built on innovation
breakthroughs in the company, developing unique and durable value
propositions and bringing these to life through thought leadership
and technical marketing. From strategy through to execution, this

- Cultivate strategic relationships and collaborate across
multi-functional teams from ideation to execution.
- Assess future-oriented technologies in research and early
development to propose new technology solution opportunities in
partnership with subject matter experts.
- Lead the formulation of new categories from definition,
value-prop creation & testing, narrative development, and marketing
strategy, working in close partnership with business modeling and
- Build and execute an end-to-end thought leadership and
technical marketing strategy including the development of marketing
assets (presentations, demos, scripts, etc.) to bring the vision to
- Grow thought leadership and engagement through ongoing category
storytelling scaled through events, field, and influencers.
- 7+ years of work experience and expertise that spans technical
& non-technical roles - i.e. technical marketing or technical
sales, evangelism, product management, business marketing, business
consulting and/or program management.
- Entrepreneurial spirit fueled by a deep understanding of the
innovation space and emerging technologies.
- Ability to analyze and uncover market opportunities, formulate
innovation solution strategy.
- Experience leading and driving multiple complex global projects
spanning different business and disciplines with a laser sharp
- Passion for technical storytelling with strong, confident
executive communication capabilities (written and oral).
- The ability to collaborate across multiple teams (research,
product development, go-to-market, engineering, field) to develop a
vision, shape product plans, align strategy and land messages
through the right vehicles.
