As a CO+I Critical Environment Technician, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Come and join us in CO+I as part of our Global Edge Site Operations!ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesAs a successful CE Program Manager, your success is measured by: - Empowering a culture of safety, security, standardization, and compliance -in -all -aspect -of datacenter -activities------ -Establishing and enhancing strong working relationships with global leased datacenter owners, third party services companies working on behalf of Microsoft, and internal customers.------ -Initially as an IC role the CEPM will be tasked with global program development, defining strategic direction, planning, budgeting, and future resourcing for the development of critical environment capabilities in the Microsoft Edge. Acting as an internal communication and escalation point for all Edge datacenter critical environment-related issues, programs, or projects.Engaging early in Edge site research, evaluation, and decision making with cross-organization teams.Developing a program and planning for initial and ongoing analysis and auditing of leased datacenter infrastructure to meet Microsoft requirements.Engaging with Edge datacenter program management, environmental health and safety teams, and internal assurance and compliance teams to ensure critical environments within leased datacenters meet, or require remediation to meet, Microsoft requirements and standards. Coordinating, planning, scheduling, and supervising Edge datacenter critical environment audits, assurance, and compliance verifications.Developing various new programs within the Microsoft Edge environment to include initial site evaluations, ongoing lease site and landlord communication, involvement with technical standards and maintenance reporting, operational controls, standards and critical environment operational practices. Driving Microsoft global datacenter critical environment operational standards across all teams engaged in the sourcing, deploying, servicing, and maintaining of Microsoft's global Edge sites.Engaging with cross-functional teams in the development of requirements, and defining evaluation and implementation of critical environment monitoring, measuring, and reporting in global Edge datacenter environments. Travel to extent required to engage global teams, sites, and Landlords in the pursuit of understanding and improving global Edge site critical environments management.QualificationsMicrosoft reviews all applications that meet the below Required Qualifications:For this role, you are welcome to apply if you meet the following Required Qualifications: - - 7+ years of relevant work experience in a datacenter or other critical environment -5+ years of managing a critical environment operations or relevant operational support team.3+ years experience leading and/or working in a datacenter operational capacity involving the operation, analysis, or improvement of critical building infrastructure, cooling, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems. -Expert-level understanding of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS) -High School Diploma or equivalent -While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:Associate's or -Bachelor's -degree in applicable engineering field or mechanical or electrical trades -New business strategic program and team development, including hiring of full-time employees and third-party services 3+ Years' experience working on large scale projects. - -Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar -certification -Background Check Requirements: -Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
