Are you excited by driving technology strategy and vision? CFS Finance Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer Manager seeking these challenges. Your charter is to maintain service excellence while delivering innovative solutions that reduce manual work and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making. You will also look outside your assigned responsibilities to find opportunities to leverage others and help others. You will build strong teams which include program management partners and stakeholders to ensure delivery of the most impactful work.What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will enjoy working closely with their software engineering team: designing, developing and running enterprise-scale services and platforms, technical depth in cloud platforms and agile development practices. We're looking for candidates with experience mentoring and inspiring developers and who can collaborate across multiple teams and organizations to have personal impact, to support the work of others, and use the work of others to improve their own results.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will: Lead by example on design and development of platform featuresManage a team of 6 to 8 software engineersWork with other managers and developers to help timely delivery of planned backlog while ensuring adherence to high quality of design, coding standards, monitorability and performanceManage, design, develop, test, deploy and support secure & scalable enterprise solutionsWork with Program Managers to consume product backlog and generate technical designWork across teams to ensure seamless integration of the enterprise solutionWork in an agile environment using SCRUM or KanbanProvide and execute on a data driven approach to software engineering through designing, coding, testing, debugging, problem solving and analytical skillsContribute to our new cloud-based architecture leveraging technologies such as Apache Spark with Scala, Azure Event Hubs, SQL Azure, Cosmos DB and C#Participate in On Call and Site Reliability rotations to support live site and drive engineered solutions to improve customer experiencesProvide critical thinking, technical innovation, and attention to detail while serving as a trusted advisor in the organizationGain understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with others to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our usersQualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 8+ years of industry experience designing and developing enterprise-scale services & platforms. Candidates with more experience are also encouraged to apply. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of prior experience managing software engineers or developers is preferred5+ years of experience in Software Development and test automation in C#, Java and SQLPassion for mentoring and growing software engineering talentExperience in Big data and analytics technologies such as Hadoop and SparkWorking experience in an agile environment with develops model.Experience in delivering scalable, resilient and secure servicesGood understanding of CI/CD pipelines.Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skillsExperience in full stack development using Restful service is a plusMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
