Program Management Specialist for AR's Redmond, WA office. Aerojet
Rocketdyne (AR) and NASA JSC are developing an upgrade to the
flight proven Space Shuttle Orbital Maneuvering Engine to power the
European Service Module on the Orion spacecraft to carry astronauts
to destinations beyond Low Earth Orbit. The program consists of
certification, production, and special studies. This position will
lead AR's OME Valves & Controls efforts including design,
fabrication, assembly, component qualification, and test support.
The design & analysis work split for the Valves & Controls IPT will
be split between LA and Redmond, with final assembly operations
taking place in redmond. Preference is for candidate to based in
Redmond, but qualified candidates from other locations will be

at this level or one level higher. Essential Job Functions
(Including % of Time for Each) This person will demonstrate strong
team building and communication skills to rapidly establish and
motivate a cross-functional team including AR, government and
vehicle customers, and subcontract personnel. Will ensure the
Valves & Controls team maintains a strong working relationship with
other groups. 65% - This Leader will demonstrate a technical
knowledge of all aspects of Valves, Controls, and engine
integration. This knowledge will be applied to properly balance
technical performance, programmatic constraints, and risk. The lead
will be responsible for implementing and enforcing the concepts of
IPPD, DTC, ISO 9000 and all division initiatives in support of the
AR vision objectives. 20% - The Leader will ensure the scope of
work is completed within cost and schedule constraints by applying
management tools to plan, monitor, and implement corrective action
as required. Definition and overall management of team scope is
required. 10% - This effort will be under a NASA insight/oversight
environment, which requires significant diplomatic and
communication skills. The leader must retain a healthy working
relationship with government counterparts. 5% - The Valves &
Controls Leader will support follow new business capture activity
for added scope efforts. Requirements Requires a Bachelor's degree
in Engineering and at least nine (9) years of applicable experience
or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong
background in valves & controls design and Human Space Flight
certification needed. Candidate should also have demonstrated
successful management of technical, cost and schedule goals.
Candidate should also have experience in dealing with customers and
in leading cross functional work teams. Finally, candidate should
have business capture training or experience. Requires U.S.
Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S.
Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for
access to government information and having dual citizenship may
preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Being fully
vaccinated for COVID-19 may be a condition of employment at Aerojet

employment with the Company. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK
ENVIRONMENT Employees in these positions must possess mobility to
work in a standard office setting and to use standard office
equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and
maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may
occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require
occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending;
and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and
hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the
use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety
shoes, and shop coat. This positions may be expected to work
varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of
activities in the organization.
