Summary of Position:The Strategy & Planning Project Manager will work in the Office of the CEO, leading and managing projects that are critical to Denali business objectives and support key customers requirements. Project complexity is expected to be moderate to complex with associated levels of risk and business impact. Project duration is expected to be dynamic where some projects will have fast implementation requirements and others will run for several months. All will require cross-organization, cross-functional teams and the Client. The Project Manager will create structure and define an approach that will facilitate the collection, clear communication, and ultimate delivery of project plans, timelines, goals and objectives. The Project Manager will work to develop scopes that are well defined. Project Manager will also need to work with organization resources across functions and departments to define and document business and operational processes to support improved efficiency and successful outputs designed to achieve business requirements. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, customer commitments, and goals.Essential Functions:Achieves objectives by contributing information and recommending strategies and goalsDemonstrate understanding of Denali and client business models, requirements, SLAs, priorities, processes, etc; ability to problem solve, make recommendations and influence decision making.Ensure that the project requirements are documented and agreed uponEstablish a project plan that will track, communicate and achieve the project deliverables and milestonesDefine goals, outline approach, and make adjustments to achieve desired outcomesTrack project changes, produce updates, and deliver executive and customer updates based on the agreed schedule & formatTakes proactive steps based on available informationDocument processes, identify vulnerabilities, timelines, process stakeholders, dependencies, optimization opportunities and gain agreement across project team on process recommendationsDevelop RACI models, if appropriateAchieves project objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; escalaition tracking, management, resolution and reporting; identifying vulnerabilities, trends and system improvements; supporting change managementCreate Project controls such as action item lists, risk & risk mitigation plans, issues logs, change control, decision logsAct as point person for Project-level communications that will keep stakeholders, business partners, and team leads informed on matters including, progress to plan; key milestones; integration efforts/needs across the program and/or project; risks, issues, etc.Capable of garnering consensus in challenging circumstancesInstill confidence of project delivery to Clients & Denali stakeholdersEnsure communications meet all stakeholders needs, Client, Partners, and other related team membersCoordinate as appropriate for effective reporting and communications regarding progress to plan, barriers, risks, etcContinuously monitor the scope and manage Client expectationsDefine escalation process to proactively manage escalations with proper tracking and reportingAn expert in Project/project team management including dynamics of virtual teams, matrix reporting relationships, and cross-functional resource identification and allocationEnsure meetings have structure and clear purpose and goals; facilitate and drive meetings effectively and communicate decisions and action items clearly to team members and relevant parties outside of the team.Competencies:Ensures AccountabilityTech SavvyCommunicates EffectivelyValues DifferencesCustomer FocusResourcefulnessDrives ResultsPlans and PrioritizesDecision QualitySelf-DevelopmentWork Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree 10+ Years of ExperienceQualifications:IT and channel business experienceProject Management of complex projects or programs (PMO certification desired)Excellent project planning, resource alignment, and escalation management capabilitiesDemonstrated experience in consensus buildingStrong problem-solving skills to proactively identify potential issues, current issues, and development of corrective action plansCollaborative team player that can identify personal style differences and manage relationshipsEffective communicator and influencerDisplays exceptional verbal, written, and listening for understanding skills.
