The Gaming Ecosystem Commercial supports Xbox through our mission to empower game creators to realize their dreams.As a Global Portfolio Manager, you will be part of a team that works across Xbox, to both **curate the content** that comes onto the platform from our third party partners, as well as to help **shape the partnerships** that we form around games with multiple partners, from large publishers to independent developers.As part of a global team, one of your core priorities is to **articulate a broad, inclusive perspective** on games from around the world. You will **consider the tastes** **and needs** of a wide range of players from geographically diverse locations and help make decisions that empower and delight all players. You have a good grasp of games created in APAC regions, familiarity with Free to Play and mobile games, and understanding of Microsoft's gaming platforms. You understand or have the desire to learn about the global game development community emerging game markets in APAC regions.Additionally, you will **provide support** to partners, helping them deliver great games to players, and **build relationships with partners** , understanding their development needs. You and your team will establish and maintain relationships with key game developers and publishers globally, becoming trusted partners in game creation and evaluation - helping to evaluate games and provide feedback to (and learn from) partners on gameplay, trends and the industry zeitgeist.**Serve as a trusted advisor.** Inside Xbox, you and your team will be responsible for maintaining up to date information on forthcoming games, and working closely with teams across Xbox, including the Business Development, Partner Management, Game Pass, Store, Marketing, Azure, and Engineering teams to ensure that Xbox players get the best possible games to play on console and PC, and that our product partnership choices show off the best and most diverse portfolio of games possible.**Qualifications****Knowledge, Skills and Abilities****_Required/Minimum Qualifications_**+ At least 7 years of professional game industry experience, preferably with some time spent in journalism, content creation, portfolio management, game evaluation, production, or business development.**_Additional or Preferred Qualifications_**+ Ability to travel globally to visit partners and teams up to 25% of time.+ Chinese language skills (oral and/or written).+ A college degree is an effective way to show you can finish what you start, but not required in any way for qualified candidates.+ Expert-level understanding of emerging global games in APAC regions, with an emphasis on unlocalized games, free-to-play designs and development, and mobile trends.+ Expert-level understanding of games, genres and partners in the game industry.+ Passionate about gaming.+ Playing video games regularly.+ Working understanding of game development and publishing processes.+ Experience in a production role for a game.+ Experience working in cross-functional roles and as part of a team.+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with diverse audiences from publishers and developers to executives.Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
