About the role
The purpose of this position is to build and provide program management for sophisticated, cross functional Commute projects and programs. Working under general direction, this position is responsible for developing, managing, and operationalizing sustainability strategies for a business unit, with focus on planning, modeling, and delivery of transportation and fleet sustainability programming. This position runs and leads all aspects of budgeting, process improvement, controls for specialized software and other functions enabling the business unit to meet objectives in an effective and efficient manner.

What you'll do
Leads medium to large, sophisticated cross-functional projects and programs end-to-end. Facilitates the development of a charter and coordinated timeline. Ensures that all functions remain on schedule and that issues get sophisticated and resolved and that the program is completed successfully.

Prepare and implement schedules of critical path and milestone events Ensure project/program plans are aligned with client and corporate strategies. Establishes project goals and objectives, including, but not limited to, schedule parameters. Develops project-level and portfolio-level solutions based on interpretation of the program data and preparation of recommendations.

Facilitates meetings to review active and pending projects (project pipeline). Collaborates with core team to develop solutions and lead project team(s) through implementation and completion.

Leads internal and external relationships in support of program(s); may contract and lead vendors.

May identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conduct standard request for proposals; complete bid analysis; recommend resources to clients.

May build, maintain & distribute routine reports, including status reports and updated Gantt charts.

May lead/lead all aspects of a team who are responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs. Serves as the primary client contact and critical issue point for any staffing, bandwidth or delivery issues.

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Optimally recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop proficiencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

What you'll need
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. Minimum six years of related experience. Prior Supervisory experience preferred.

  • PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications ideal.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most sophisticated business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on sophisticated topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to influence and negotiate optimally with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
  • Requires sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts sophisticated financial analysis.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret sophisticated documents. Ability to troubleshoot problems involving several options in situations. Requires sophisticated analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and problem-solving skills are vital.
  • Solid track record in project management processes, tools and techniques. Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships. Intermediate to sophisticated skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.

    EQUAL PAY DISCLAIMER

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $125,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
