Job Description:

Scion Staffing , has been engaged to conduct a search for a Center Director on behalf of a well-established and expanding early childhood education center in the Greater Seattle area. This is a full-time, on-site leadership opportunity to launch and manage a brand-new center dedicated to delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate care and education for children from infancy through pre-kindergarten. The role offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, experienced leader to shape a vibrant, inclusive learning community from the ground up.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Center Director will be responsible for the overall operational, administrative, and educational leadership of the center. This includes managing day-to-day operations, overseeing licensing compliance, guiding staff development, building enrollment, and fostering strong relationships with families and the surrounding community. The ideal candidate brings a passion for early childhood development, proven team leadership, and a strong foundation in business and program operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily operations of the early learning center, ensuring compliance with state licensing standards and internal policies.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support a growing team of educators and administrative staff.
  • Lead the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and educational programming that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Partner with families to ensure a positive and communicative experience that supports each child's individual needs.
  • Manage budgets, staff scheduling, enrollment, and facility needs to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
  • Promote the center within the local community and lead efforts to increase visibility and drive enrollment.
  • Support a safe, clean, and nurturing environment that fosters learning and development for children and professional growth for staff.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in early childhood education, including at least two (2) years in a leadership role within a licensed childcare center.
    • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Knowledge of Washington State licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
    • Must meet all required background checks and eligibility criteria for working in a licensed childcare setting.
      COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
      This full-time role offers a competitive salary in the $70,000-$80,000 range, depending on experience and qualifications. The position includes a robust benefits package featuring medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off and holidays; life insurance; professional development support; and a childcare discount, subject to availability.
