AIML - Software Engineer - Release Management TeamSeattle, Washington, United States - Software and ServicesDescriptionThe duties associated with this position include:

• Developing efficient, maintainable automation code for build and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools.
• Monitoring builds for failures and collaborating with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Continuously evaluating and improving release management practices.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
• Planning, scheduling, and participating in software releases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Consistently delivering in line with the defined SLAs for the releases.Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineers, project managers, and QA, with the ability to call out issues when needed.
• Eager to learn and proactive in asking questions.
• Experience triaging system-level issues and analyzing system logs.
• Curiosity and perseverance to review problems through many layers of the software stack.
• Passionate about improving tools, writing new scripts, and recommending process improvements to enhance root cause analysis.
• Experience with bug reporting tools.
• Scripting/coding experience, including writing/ modifying shell scripts, familiarity with regular expressions, experience with Python, and experience with Git/source control.Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with database and event-driven systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Background in software development and large-scale release operations. At Apple, base pay is part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range, providing opportunities for growth. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $204,000, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have opportunities to participate in stock programs, including restricted stock units and employee stock purchase plans, along with benefits such as medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts, and educational reimbursement.
