One of our largest and most well-known clients has a new opportunity for a Lab Engineer to join their team onsite in the Redmond, WA area. This candidate will support that general day-to-day station and hardware set up, standard scheduled maintenance on hardware, limited but necessary execution of test of automation, and maintain inventory of lab components. This candidate will jump into a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, where the day-to-day doesn't always stay the same, but there are endless opportunities to experience besides station and hardware to be cross trained on.

Scope of Activity and Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform regular maintenance on lab equipment and hardware
  
  
• 
  Troubleshoot and repair lab equipment and hardware when issues are identified
  
  
• 
  Assist in test automation execution when necessary and communicate results to engineering / development stakeholders
  
  
• 
  Maintain logs and records of maintenance performed in lab
  
  
• 
  Keep inventory of lab equipment up to date
  
  
• 
  Ensure the lab is clean and free of debris
  
  
• 
  Create, update, and maintain technical documentation of lab efforts

  Skills and Qualifications:
  
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Bachelor' Degree in Computer Engineering Technology OR Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
    
    
  • 
    2+ years of industry experience
    
    
  • 
    Experience maintaining manufacturing test hardware / lab equipment
    
    
  • 
    Experience with creating and maintaining technical documentation
    
    
  • 
    Must have strong communication skills and be able to work in proximity with others
    
    
  • 
    Must be agile and able to adapt to shifting work requests and priorities
    
    
  • 
    Self-motivated and driven, able to identify tasks and execute with little prompting
    
    
  • 
    Experience as a technician in a test environment is desired
    
    
  • 
    Soldering skills (SMD) are a plus
    
    
  • 
    Experience with Windows client / server operating systems and image deployment
    
    
  • 
    Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    
    
  • 
    Able to read, work with and create schematics and / or technical diagrams
    
    
  • 
    Strong organizational skills

    Estimated Pay Rate: $40/hr. to $43/hr.
