Job Description:
What is an Elementary School Kitchen Lead?
A lead is someone who loves kids, knows food safety principles, and
is comfortable with prepping pizzas, sandwiches, and salads.
Day-to-day, before lunch service, a lead will complete temperature
logs, place milk orders, accept deliveries of prepared menu items,
prepare cold lunch items, and directs one food service worker. They
build connections with students and teachers at lunchtime, serve
lunch, and ensure their kitchen is clean afterward. Most
importantly, an Elementary School Kitchen Lead has a willingness to
learn and a positive attitude.
