Job Description:One of the most globally recognized eCommerce company based in Seattle, WA is hiring for a Sr. Strategic Commodity Manager. This individual will be dealing with signage, furniture, lockers and warehouse suppliers and some consumables for their fulfillment centers. This is a very long-term opportunity that is also fully remote (must be working within PST hours) and we're looking for candidates who are meeting all qualifications under the 'Required Skills' section.Key Job Responsibilities: Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts to optimize companys competitive position Drive appropriate relationships with category suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving the optimal solution and cost of ownership that meets the business goals supported by a culture of continuous improvement with performance benchmarks in use Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor and optimize opportunities Act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories; anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed Drive category suppliers in Supplier Relationship Management activities to mitigate risk, improve performance and add value to the company Identify, achieve and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities Align with internal customers and understand the business application of the category Negotiation and implementation of supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions. Helping to develop long-term department strategies and significantly influencing the cross-company project development and delivery processes and standards. Keys to success in this role include sound judgement and excellent written/verbal communication skills. The candidate should be able to extract insights from data and be able to communicate appropriately.Key Performance Indicators: Earn the trust of key stakeholders to drive alignment with the business Create a category strategy in conjunction with internal customers to ensure there is a comprehensive, unified approach for the category. Achieve yearly cost saving or value targets appropriate to the category aligned with annual budget processes. Define and report on key metrics that measure effectiveness of supply and cost savings Champion standards and process improvementsRequired Skills (non-negotiables and MUST have experience visible on resume):

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, IT, Business Analytics or related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience within Supply Chain Management (with direct commodity job title or experiences listed on resume)
  • Experience working with commodities that are scoping at least $250M at minimum
  • Must have used data to create actionable change
  • Analytical skills including ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data
  • Absolute communication skills and comfortability interacting with multiple teams, leadership and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with 6 steps sourcing process
  • Strong saving methodology
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to mitigate risk
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • SAP experience
  • Must be comfortable working PST time zoneHighly Preferred Skills:
    • Lean / Six-Sigma knowledge
    • Prior experience with Maintenance Repair & Operations (MRO) category management, strategy development, and global sourcing
    • Product Management/Retail Vendor Management experience
    • Demonstrated top performance in prior role)s with increasing levels of responsibility
    • eCommerce industry experience
    • Experience working within Supply Chain at a global-scaleDisqualifiers:
      • Job-hoppy tenure (e.g. new role every year)
      • Handling commodities that are worth less than $250M
      • Not comfortable handling large data
      • No Supply Chain experience presented on resume
