Job Description:
Mackin Talent is seeking an Integration Engineer to support our
client in Redmond, WA. The main function of this role is to partner
with internal design teams in the development of high volume
consumer products. The typical Integration Engineer will function
as an expert in Design for Excellence methods. Support of
manufacturing assembly, DVE testing, DfX, and advanced
manufacturing development will require many hands that will focus
on execution of the test and integration plans put forward by our
lead Integration Engineers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Help to design, drive and build fixtures and process
development activities to enable prototype builds Drive
Qualification and characterization activities
- Run DOEs and evaluate results, creating presentations that
answer key questions about our technology deliverables
- Work with design engineers to drive engineering change requests
resulting from bugs identified Identify and drive opportunities for
design for assembly (DfA) improvements
- Advise Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers in
implementing Design for Excellence into their designs
- Advise internal design teams for manufacturability, assembly,
material selection, test and verification, safety, reliability,
compliance, etc
- Manage external vendors in the design, creation and
qualification of assembly and test equipment
- Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings and
designs to support the entire integration development
life-cycle.
- Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and
report back to engineering cross-functional partners, and
management
- Develop plans to mitigate and avoid build issuesSkills:
- CAD Expertise: UG NX (Preferred), Solidworks, Creo
- Analysis Expertise: Statistical Analysis, inclusive of
analytical tools such as Minitab, JMP and Crystal Ball
- Simulation and FEA: Ansys, Icepak, Matlab
- Optical Simulation: Zemax Opto-mechanical integration and
optical test working knowledge
- Passion for learning and experimenting with new manufacturing
methods and processes
- Experience with working towards tight program deadlines and
ability to schedule individual deliverables accordingly Detail
oriented and organized, with ability to present data and test
output in an easily consumable format
- Experience with Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of mass production of products.
- Knowledge of Design for Excellence methodologies for mechanical
and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and
Tolerancing
- Knowledge with 2D and 3D tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3d
printing)Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical,
Manufacturing or similar hardware-oriented discipline, or
