We protect Microsoft's customers and their data across the world and secure all Microsoft Clouds. In the mobile-first cloud-first world, security is among the most important elements to get right, enabling trust and keeping people and their data safe. We are hiring a leader who is passionate about securing Microsoft clouds and excels at communication and problem-solving skills. This individual will build and manage a team which will focus on securing the space of internal and public endpoints across Microsoft. That is millions of endpoints that change constantly, with a diverse set of applications powering them. We research and apply the best in class tools to scan these endpoints, while also building internet scale services to run these detections efficiently. Required Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience delivering large scale services using Java/C#/C++ * BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent * Experience as the technical lead for your projects Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with shipping projects on a public cloud platform * An understanding of security in cloud platforms is a plus * Experience as people manager is a plus Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. As a Principal SWE Manager, you'll bring clarity, create energy, and drive results thru systems/services engineering to help us secure the Azure cloud. Your responsibilities include: Design and develop large-scale highly configurable, scalable, robust data processing solution to process large scale data received from Cloud Supplier factories and Microsoft data centers. * Promote excellent software engineering practice and produce high quality code to ensure high availability post deployment. * Drive end to end process including development, code review, testing, continuous integration, and delivery (CI/CD), and deployment. * Be data driven in decision making and in influencing teams, business and partners. * Experiment with and recommend new technologies that simplify or improve the tech stack. * Envision, design, write and deliver software and infrastructure to improve the reliability, scalability, latency, operability and efficiency of your services. * Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, service integration and geo-expansion, software performance analysis and system tuning. * And most of all, you'll demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments.
