Job Description:

As a Test Technology Lead, you will be deeply involved in evolving and enhancing our test automation software, data intelligence platform, and global manufacturing infrastructure. These two areas form a natural ecosystem that connects manufacturing systems from test sources to data destinations to be used in production analysis and business intelligence.You will help the team design and build highly scalable test software framework, secure test applications, and data pipes that will be used for our worldwide AR/VR/Wearables manufacturing. On the infra side, you will be responsible for the growth, reliability, efficiency, security, performance, and overall health of the end-to-end infra that contains compute, storage, network, and security. You will partner closely with engineering, operations, and other cross-functional teams to understand the problem space and domain in depth, create roadmaps, prioritize based on impact, and drive them through to completion. You will help manage the design, bill of materials, purchasing, deployment, and operational support. You will have a strong background in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing, project management, test software framework and apps development, data pipelines, and data-center-like infrastructure.

Test Technology Lead Responsibilities:

  • Own the planning, development, and delivery of test software and infra solutions with our internal developers and OEM partners.
  • Drive test Software and infra architecture, engineering, and integration decisions and timelines.
  • Drive test Software and infra design and development including test coverage, efficiency/yield, cost, space, labor, and schedule.
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs against resources, budget/cost, and schedule.
  • Manage Software test engineering dry runs for factory test readiness, and drive SW OS/FW validation efforts. Collect, analyze, and present data to stakeholders.
  • Manage cross functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
  • Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
  • Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of program deliverables.
  • Identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems with engineering leaders and stakeholders.
  • Influence product decisions to align with higher company initiatives.
  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions including reducing the manual efforts through automation.
  • Establish relationships with multi-disciplinary partners and vendors across multiple time zones to understand user needs, gather requirements, and define scope.
  • Operate autonomously across multiple teams with demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership.
  • Communicate across technical cross-functional teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Domestic and international travel required up to 20-30%.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant experience
    • 4+ years experience in software engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or technical product/program management experience
    • Knowledge in technical program management methodologies, experience delivering technical programs or products from inception to delivery
    • Understanding of software release process, DevOps, infrastructure topology and trade-off

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS/MIS, or related technical discipline with an information technology focus.
      • MS experience with a focus on operations management/supply chain management.
      • Python development and production release experience.
      • DevOps experience for large-scale deployment automation.
      • Experience in Agile development.
      • Experience working with third-party test integrators and manufacturing partners, especially in a consumer electronics environment.
      • Experience in optimizing production infrastructure CapEx and OpEx.
      • Experience with statistical methods (6 sigma) for data analysis in production control processes (GR&R, Cp/Cpk and correlation analysis).
      • Experience in deploying highly available and reliable software and infra solutions in multiple sites.
      • Experience with domestic and/or international high consumer electronics vendors and supply chain.
