developers, and engineers to create the future of augmented and
virtual reality. Eye tracking team within FRL-R is working on
research to enable eye tracking for everyone and everywhere, which
is key to enable many groundbreaking experiences. In this role, you
will join a team of software engineers and collaborate with
pioneers in research, electrical engineering, firmware engineering,
and user experience design. You will learn constantly, dive into
new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity
of AR/VR problem solving. Together, we are going to build
cutting-edge prototypes, technologies, building constructs and
toolsets that can define a paradigm shift in how we interact with

Tracking Applications Software Engineer ResponsibilitiesWork side
by side with research scientists, UX designers, electrical
engineers and mechanical engineers to enable new experiences in AR
and VRAnalyze, evaluate, design, develop, integrate, debug and test
real-time AR and VR software for advanced prototypes, user
experiences and hardwareBuild software, tools, infrastructure,
documentation and other systems that enable research scientists to
be more effective and efficientCollaborate with other teams to
identify gaps, build solutions and transfer technologyPerform code
reviews that improve software engineering qualityCollaborate in a
team environment across multiple scientific and engineering
disciplines, making the architectural tradeoffs required to rapidly
deliver software solutionsWrite clean readable code, debug complex
problems that span systems, prioritize ruthlessly and get things
done with a high level of efficiencyLearn constantly, dive into new
areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of
AR/VR problem solvingMinimum QualificationsDemonstrated proficiency
in computational complexity, algorithm design, 3D systems and
software designExperience with game engines such as
Unity3DDemonstrated C/C++/C# expertise5+ years of professional
programming experience in building real-time, performance sensitive
systemsExperience shipping at least one product of high complexity
using standard software development toolsets such as source control
and continuous integration systemsCurrently has, or is in the
process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent
practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining
Meta.Preferred QualificationsExperience with toolset or SDK
