We are operating hundreds of thousands of servers worldwide with millions of databases in over 40 regions.It orchestrates complex workflows spanning multiple services in Azure and within Azure SQL DB clusters.We are looking for someone who can help with capacity management and supplement engineering effort to implement and improve alerts, bring efficiency on migration of servers and databases as per capacity demands.Responsibilities:# Ensure continuous growth of the Azure SQL DB data plane worldwide fleet of machines and help addressing and troubleshoot SQL workload (Disk/IO) on hot regions.# Migrate data plane and customers tonewer platform/hardware. Facilitate decommissioning of old cluster/region.# Identify opportunities and drive the implementation of automation to improve service health, manageability, reliability, and telemetry.# Work with team members across the larger team to coordinate updates and resolve issues.# Write simple SQL & Kusto KPIs and help with incident mitigation wherever required.# Communicate on a deeply technical level with product engineering, project management and operations teams toimprove and optimize products, improve infrastructure, and evolve services.Qualifications:Required Qualifications# 8+ years of industry experience operating / engineering Services# Strong knowledge on SQL/KQL queries# Good experience on workingin distributed highly scalable production environment.# Good knowledge on Azure core services and fundamentals.# Strong knowledge of PowerShell/Scripting Knowledge, C# or equivalent, Windows Services infrastructure to automate day to day activities.# Ability to write tools, automation, and enhancements in arbitrary subcomponents of services/products to deliver and manage software in production (both around services, and within them).# Good written communication skills # for email and TSGsPreferred Qualifications# Extensive troubleshooting/debugging experience# Knowledge of Kusto Query language, Cosmos and Capacity Management is a strong plus.# Knowledge of ARM Templates, Azure PowerShell and CLI management
