Job Description:
AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide,
enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the
cloud. Our team empowers every customer to grow by providing
tailored service, unmatched technology, and committed support. We
dive deep to understand each customer's unique challenges, then
craft innovative solutions that accelerate their success. This
customer-first approach is how we built the world's most adopted
cloud. Join us and help us grow. This role will drive AWS
technology adoption and revenue growth across a small set of global
automotive and manufacturing customers. As a trusted customer
advocate, the Principal Solutions Architect will work directly with
some of the world's leading industrial manufacturers as they
reimagine how things are designed, built, and operated and how
factories of the future come to life. You will serve as a trusted
technical advisor, helping customers navigate complex architectural
decisions across connected vehicle platforms, autonomous driving
workloads, digital twins, smart factory/Industry 4.0 initiatives,
supply chain optimization, and software-defined vehicle (SDV)
strategies. As an experienced technologist and key member of the
Account Team, you will influence customers' architectural choices
across broad use cases involving IoT, edge computing,
high-performance computing (HPC), security, data lakes and
analytics, AI/ML, simulation, and robotics — as well as
foundational services spanning compute, storage, and networking.
You will provide exceptional technical design guidance and thought
leadership, lead efforts to capture and share best-practice
knowledge with the broader AWS Solutions Architecture community and
develop reusable industry reference architectures. You will also
have the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate
some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across
the breadth of enterprise and operational technology architecture.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track
record in software/technology architecture or consulting. The
ability to connect technology with measurable business value is
critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a
demonstrated ability to think strategically about business,
products, and technical challenges. Here are some other qualities
we are looking for: - Enjoy working with large, global customers.
You will have a passion for connecting with, educating, training,
designing, and building cloud solutions for global automotive and
manufacturing customers. - Have a deep understanding of
large-scale, mission-critical solutions in the automotive and
manufacturing industry. - The ideal candidate will have past
experience working as a systems engineer/architect in the
automotive and manufacturing industry. You will enjoy keeping your
existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can
make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. Key job
responsibilities - Own the technical relationship with key
Automotive and Manufacturing accounts, acting as the primary
technical point of contact and trusted advisor to C-suite, VP-level
engineering leaders, and senior technical stakeholders. - Architect
and design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions for
industry-specific workloads including data platforms, digital twin
environments, MES/SCADA cloud integration, predictive maintenance,
and smart factory deployments. - Bridge IT and OT — bring a unique
ability to connect traditional enterprise IT architectures with
operational technology (OT) environments on the shop floor, at the
edge, leveraging AWS services. - Drive technical strategy by
developing and executing technical account plans aligned with
customers' business objectives. - Lead proof-of-concept engagements
and architectural reviews to accelerate customer adoption and
derisk production deployments. - Influence product roadmaps by
partnering closely with AWS service teams and advocate for
industry-specific feature development. - Develop and scale industry
thought leadership — create reference architectures, whitepapers,
blogs. - Present at AWS and Industry events - Mentor and elevate
other Solutions Architects within the team, contributing to
technical community development through knowledge sharing,
bar-raising, and best-practice codification. - Think strategically
about business, product, and technical challenges — connect the
dots between industry mega-trends and AWS capabilities. About the
