As Director of NPI Hardware Program Management you will lead a
team of highly motivated program managers delivering next
generation technology to our Microsoft Business Partners. These
businesses include Microsoft Azure, Bing, Exchange, XBOX and
SharePoint. You will have the opportunity to impact these
businesses in bringing new technology to market. As Microsoft's
cloud business continues to grow the ability to deploy new hardware
infrastructure on time, with high quality and in high volume is of

drive alignment and enable partners across engineering, operations,
and supply chain teams to effectively plan, produce, and ramp to
Responsibilities Create and implement a technical program
management team structure which is chartered to manage and lead new
server designs through the product lifecycle (from concept, through
design pilot and mass production launch)
Lead and inspire an organization of 10+ technical program
managers in a rapidly evolving business environment. Hold the team
and individuals accountable for results and recognize
Ensure aggressive NPI hardware development schedules are put in
place & collaborate across organizations to achieve scheduled
Communicate program updates to broad audiences, up through
Corporate Vice President level.
Foster relationships with engineering business partners to
identify/influence new server technology roadmaps.
Assign program management resources to optimize impact to
Ensure Microsoft processes to launch new hardware into Microsoft
Data Centers are followed. Identify opportunities to drive
improvement in current processes and be a thought leader for
enabling process efficiency and champion ideas for change.
Drive cross-functional alignment, generating clarity and
partnering with peer organizations to remove barriers inhibiting
efficient server platform launch.
Coach and provide development opportunities to help enable
career development & growth for technical program managers on the

Recognized as a strategic thinker with significant experience in
server technology and/or technical program management.
Ability to effectively and communicate and collaborate across

12+ years’ experience working in high technology related field,
with server manufacturing related experience preferred.
7 or more years of hardware/technical program management
experience, or leading hardware program management teams. Preferred
but not required that candidate have experience working directly
with server hardware in a technical or supply chain capacity.
5 or more years of leading team(s) as a direct manager. Previous
track record of employee development and supporting employee career
Basic understanding of technologies used within server
Previous demonstrated ability leading complex technical
programs/projects across organizations.
Previous accountability to represent project management and
communicate at senior leadership levels.
Understanding of server manufacturing process desired
Bachelor's degree (preferred BS) required.
MBA (desired) in Operations Management, Program Management,
Business, Supply Chain, or related technology equivalent industry
Direct technical program management experience or engineering
experience in server technologies required
Supply chain management experience is a plus
