We are looking for Chief Electrical Systems Engineer to join our
team in Redmond, WA. In this role you will manage and lead the
Electrical Power Systems team. You’ll be responsible for the
definition, specification, development and, integration of the
aircraft electrical power systems. Working and coordinate with
other departments on the EPS integration efforts.
Responsibilities Overall responsibility for the Electrical
Systems & EWIS team– hiring, mentoring, setting work
processes and standards, etc.
Overall responsibility for the concept definition,
specification, development, integration and testing of the aircraft
electrical power systems and EWIS.
Overall responsibility for the aircraft’s low-voltage power
generation, storage, and distribution.
Eviation EPS and EWIS SME.
EMI, Lightning protection and HIRF related activities lead.
EPS & EWIS integration coordination.
Manage Eviation subcontractors for all EPS, EWIS, EMI and HIRF
Support aircraft level system engineering activities per ARP
4754, and lead the system engineering activities for the EWIS and
Support aircraft level safety activities per ARP 4761, and lead
the safety activities for the EWIS and EPS.
Skills Experience in the following fields:
High power electronics
Protocols and communication
Safety and reliability, fault tree analysis
System-level trade-offs study
Verification and validation, high power systems testing
Aircraft and aircraft systems certification
Familiarization with DO 311A, ASTM F2490 – 05, ASTM F2639 – 18,
Basic Qualifications At least 10 years of experience in the
field of air-vehicles EPS, batteries design, power electronics,
power distribution systems, aircraft wiring, system
At least 5 years of experience in leading a multidisciplinary
engineering team through the full design cycle of aircraft
Electrical Power Systems: concepts definition, specification,
design, integration, testing, validation and certification.
At least 3 years of experience in developing airworthy battery
modules, dealing with electrical, mechanical, thermal control, and
Ability to travel as needed.
Working permit in the US is required
