We are located in beautifuldowntown Seattle, surrounded by wonderful views of Puget Sound andthe Olympic mountains, with easy access to bus lines or undergroundparking, and we are currently recruiting for an HR Director.. TheHR Director position is responsible for all HR functions for theapproximately 85 professional employees of the Washington StateHospital Association, its wholly owned subsidiary, WashingtonHospital Services and a companion organization, the Association ofWashington Public Hospital Districts. This position is a full-timeposition with full benefits and remote work is currently available.The HR Director works closely with and reports to the ExecutiveVice President and General Counsel of WSHA.. Specific duties ofthis position include, but are not limited to:. Responsible forbenefits management, compensation, recruiting, talent management,performance management, workforce planning and development, totalrewards, policy formation and implementation, employee relations,leave management.. Work in partnership with senior management,especially through the HR Committee, to provide data and insight onorganizational HR issues to inform the association’s strategicapproach to talent management.. Responsible for all recruitingactivities including presenting Job Requisition and Job Descriptionto the HR Committee for approval, creating ads and applicantsourcing, initial review of candidates, conducting backgroundchecks, extending verbal offers, creating final offer letters, andensuring that new employee paperwork is completed in a timelymanner.. Manage and have accountability for all aspects ofon-boarding process for new hires including completion of PersonnelAction Forms, ensuring new employee receives and acknowledgesreceipt of mandatory policies and procedures, completes the I-9 andsubmits through E-Verify system. Work collaboratively with otherteam members in facilities, IT and payroll as well as thesupervisor to ensure a smooth onboarding process.. Manage ADPWorkforce Now HRIS system, including input of data, creatingreports, correcting employee information as needed and ensuringpayroll has necessary information to input new hires and notifybenefit providers.. Ensure that payroll has information necessaryto notify benefit providers and input new hires into ADP WorkforceNow system.. Manage employee separation process, conduct all exitinterviews.. Ensure Employee Handbook and HR policies are reviewedand updated regularly.. Serve as resource for employees andmanagers regarding employment policies, disciplinary actions andemployee relations matters.. Provide a safe place for employees toseek information or discuss sensitive topics.. Provide policyinterpretation and education relating to HR Policies andProcedures.. Administer and manage employee leave as necessary,including FMLA, WA PFMLA, WFLA, etc.. Manage all ADA accommodationrequests and responses.. In collaboration with other stakeholders,help manage Property and Casualty broker and insurance policies forWSHA.. Maintain compliant and current HR files and I-9 forms..Manage the completion of mandatory reporting (VETS-1, EEO-1, AAP,etc.) and work with other staff to ensure HR related federalcontract compliance requirements are met.. Organize and deliveremployee/supervisor training using internal or external sources.Hold supervisor meetings/trainings at least once per month.. Managemandatory employee anti-harassment training program.. Manage andmonitor the annual performance review and merit raise processthrough ADP Workforce Now and ensure every employee required tocomplete a performance review also has a completed IndividualTraining and Development plan. Monitor the completion of theIndividual Training and Development plan forms.. Ensure JobDescriptions remain up to date, coordinate salary benchmarking asneeded. Conduct salary comparisons as needed.. Develop, deploy andanalyze annual employee engagement survey. Present results to HRCommittee. Coordinate dissemination of results.. With PayrollAdministrator, manage annual benefits open enrollment process..Collaborate with Accounting/Payroll staff to ensure employeerecords are accurate and complete.. Work closely with outsideBrokers on Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty, and 401(k)plan to ensure effective administration of benefits programs..Prepare and conduct Employee Benefit Broker RFPs as necessary.Analyze and present results to HR committee.. With involvement ofthe CFO, general counsel and others as necessary, serve as primarypoint of contact with insurance brokers on all aspects oforganizational and employee insurances.. Complete salary surveysand federal contract-related reporting as needed.. Track key HRmetrics as identified.. Respond to all HR related inquiries..Eligible to receive HIPAA PHI for covered employees of WSHA, WHS,AWPHD as needed to resolve benefits questions or issues..Participate in or consult with organizational committees andactivities where HR presence is needed including the event andsafety committee. Work with facilities and other members of thesafety committee to ensure all aspects of workplace safety areaddressed.. Performs other duties as assigned.. Desiredqualifications, skills, and abilities. A minimum of 10 to 12 yearsof experience with at least five years hands-on experience in humanresources strongly preferred. Equivalent combination of educationand experience can be substituted.. HR Certification (SPHR, PHR,SHRM-SPC or SHRM-CP) strongly preferred. If not certified at timeof hire, must obtain certification within 1 year of hire.. Thoroughunderstanding of HR best practices required.. Demonstrated broadhands-on experience in multiple disciplines of HR including but notlimited to managing employee benefits, leave administration,employee engagement, compensation, employee relations, talentmanagement, policy development and implementation and trainingrequired.. Excellent customer services skills including the abilityto create a warm and welcoming environment and work with diversepopulations.. Ability to provide appropriate sensitivity incomplicated situations and work with highly confidential issueswith a high level of discretion.. Excellent written and oralcommunication skills.. Proven ability to remain calm underpressure.. Focus on continuous process improvements.. Ability andflexibility to successfully manage multiple priorities and projectssimultaneously, self-motivated, detail oriented, organized andpossess excellent follow-up skills.. Ability to work at all levelsof the organization to accomplish goals.. Comfortable giving andreceiving feedback in a constructive manner to colleagues andsupervisors.. Proven ability to teach, manage, guide and coachemployees and others who are not direct reports.. HR leadershipexperience strongly preferred.. Ability to work successfully in acollaborative, team environment.. Proficient with MS office, Excel,PowerPoint and able to learn new systems as needed.. Proficiencywith ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred..
