Job Description We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our
team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and
implementation. Responsibilities: 1. Thoroughly review contract
documents including construction plans. Develop a deep
understanding of assigned project. 2. Develop and maintain
submittal log. Solicit submittal information, reviews submittals
and coordinate review with other team members. Forwards submittals
for approval and tracks review times. 3. Maintains RFI log, writes
RFIs and tracks review times. 4. Maintain project As-builts. 5.
Maintain a clearly organized system of managing all project
documentation. Including updating project shared drive with most
up-to-date information. 6. Performs quantity take-offs as needed.
7. Participates in QA/QC process. Including verifying materials and
workmanship meets specifications and manufacturers guidelines. 8.
Solicits, collects, reviews and transmits closeout documentation.
9. Assist in development of change orders and other pricing
exercises. 10. Assist Superintendent as needed. 11. Contact
subcontractors to receive bids. 12. Participate in subcontractor
selection. 13. Participate in project coordination through
different forms of communication. 14. Communicate with
subcontractors any details or requirements per project
documentation. 15. Interpret and reviews projects to monitor
compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
16. Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning
process as appropriate. 17. Perform all duties and responsibilities
in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established
company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this
position. 18. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all
other company employees. 19. Project a favorable image of the
company to promote its goals and objectives. 20. Participate in new
project bidding and prospecting. 21. Maintain good working
relationships with all old, new and current clients, vendors,
suppliers, subcontractors, and others. 22. Performs other duties
and responsibilities as required or requested.
Qualifications: 3 years of experience in construction management or
other related fields Familiarity with construction management
software Strong leadership qualities Strong negotiation skills
