In your role as an Electrical Engineering Lab Technician Supervisor, youll be responsible for working with product development teams executing and coordinating engineering lab activities over the entire product development cycle. Youll be involved from the very beginning supporting with the concept and prototyping and youll be there throughout the execution, implementation, and fielded product support phases. Well look to you to collaborate with the engineering teams and lead the lab technicians to ensure proper creation, evaluation, and test of our products, as youre a torchbearer when it comes to establishing the proper utilization of lab practices. From prototype development and debug for identifying potential issues to executing formal engineering tests and creating supporting documentation, you are the crucial conduit to deliver our equipment to market while ensuring our it maintains high quality during use. Your precision with development, lab equipment, debugging and testing sets the stage for lives to be saved. In addition, you will oversee, coach, develop and mentor the other EE technicians in the lab, as well ensure the priorities are aligned with our overall R&D goals. Join our R&D team of hardworking, passionate people at Stryker and help us make healthcare better.What you need+ Technical Associate Degree or equivalent experience in applicable discipline such as Electrical Engineering/Electronic Technology + At least 10 years of applicable technical experience + People Leadership experience + Excellent interpersonal, communication, independent judgement and problem solving skills. + Preferred qualifications include: + Exposure to complex projects and multiple priorities + Experience working in a product development environment, medical device experience is a plus + Perform rework on board and component level showing knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, and IPC-A-620. + Ability to solder small components, such as 0201 SMT and fine pitch (0.3 mm) parts. + Strong attention to detail and task organizational skills. + Current IPC and ETA certificate(s). + Ability to understand the use, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical engineering laboratory equipment. + Ability to build and test mechanical fixture and cables, electrical circuits and assemblies, update/program software, and/or perform basic test and analyses requiring knowledge of scientific and/or engineering laboratory techniques.What We Offer+ A culture driven to achieve our mission and deliver remarkable results + Coworkers committed to collaboration and winning the right way + Quality products that improve the lives of our customers and patients + Ability to discover your strengths, follow your passion and own your own career + Flexible, engaging work environmentAbout StrykerTogether with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better.Stryker, previously Physio-Control, is the leader in life-saving and emergency medicine technology and data solutions, serving EMS, hospital, military, and emerging models of healthcare.
