Please see our website, www.tbcs.org, for additional information.Experience and SkillsJob SummaryA substitute receptionist is employed at an hourly rate and is on-call to work when a receptionist or other general office staff are on vacation or have called out sick, sometimes with advance notice and at other times with little notice. The substitute would be provided on-the-job training and would be responsible to act upon general office duties, including but not limited to the following tasks in the absence of our receptionist or other general office staff:Open the office and phone lines on-time each day and maintain up-to-date voicemail messagesGreet and direct visitors with warmth and enthusiasmOperate electronic visitor system, processing drivers' licenses for visitor badgesAnswer and redirect phone calls; navigate our website to assist with answering questionsCheck and appropriately respond to or forward emails and phone messagesProvide back-up support to our Health Room Nurse and Attendance CoordinatorKeep front desk area stocked, clean, and orderlyMake coffee and stock staff lounge areaSort and distribute mail dailyOperate and stock copier, fax machine, shredder, and other office equipment as neededAssist with filing and mass mailings as neededJob RequirementsHigh school diploma; post-secondary coursework or bachelor's degree highly desiredPrevious office experience, preferably in a school settingApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
