GENERAL SUMMARY:

Perform a variety of production electrical / mechanical assembly, functional testing and shipping operations. Work is performed applying GMP standards and guidelines.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, process, clean, install, assemble, rework, verify, test, and/or inspect electrical and mechanical components, hardware, subassemblies, and assemblies on single or multiple product lines
• Operate shop equipment and tools where applicable
• Adhere to environmental and safety procedures associated with production processes and procedures
• Work from process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks along with monitoring and recording related documentation to meet quality requirements
• Communicate individual inventory needs for work center
• Follow production build rates, schedules and meet required cycle times
• Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required
• Actively participates in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Utilize electronic documentation and MRP systems
• Perform 5S activities as required
• Pick, pack and ship activities
• Perform other related duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires a high school education or equivalent
• 1 year experience required

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
• Experience working on a minimum of 1 product line and 1 discipline (Assembly / Test / Shipping)
• Requires good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic reading and math skills
• Good manual dexterity, and eye/hand coordination
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work and contribute in a team environment

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• May require performing visually detailed close-up work
• May involve exposure to chemicals, solvents and solder fumes
• May be required to wear personal protective equipment
• Frequently bends, stoops, twists, turns and works in positions using full body mobility
• May require movement and/or lifting of objects (up to 35 pounds)
• Occasional overtime required
