Within Microsoft's Global Partner Solutions (GPS) organization, we are accelerating digital transformation for our customers, partners, as well as internally at Microsoft as we continue to expand our offerings of products and services to meet our shared customers' needs along this journey. As our ecosystem grows, we evolve to keep up with the needs of hundreds of newly enrolling partners (every day) and hundreds of thousands of existing partners already aboard with us. Compliance and operations (analytics + support) are mission-critical for us in maintaining a trusted partner ecosystem.

Why We Need You:

We are looking for a highly motivated & seasoned people leader to join our Partner Digital Experiences & Programs team within the Global Partner Solutions, Channel Sales family to lead our Compliance & Operations business. This role will inspire and protect trust across customers, partners, and employees, while driving and maintaining a strong culture of compliance, support, and operational excellence through a well-designed framework and governance process.

As the partner ecosystem grows, and programs evolve and improve, we need a strategic leader who can represent GPS across this spectrum of accountabilities. This team member will keep partner Compliance top of mind when contributing to business strategy, Internal Audit issues, and global anti-corruption programs.

  • Strong ethics, integrity and accountability with ability to maintain independence and confidentiality

  • Track record of driving business outcomes with objectives, key results, and facts grounded in data
  • Ability to foresee trends based on data and a sixth sense for identifying potential areas of risk
  • Proven ability to work across groups and business functions; provide strong leadership in challenging situations
  • Skilled at prioritization, creating order and driving concise, actionable executive-level insights and calls to action
  • 10+ years in business operations with background in risk-management, internal audit, and compliance strategy
  • 3+ years of formal management experience responsible for direct reports, leading people and building teams
  • Knowledge of the MS Partner ecosystem and vendor management an advantage
  • Degree required. MBA preferred
  • LOCATION: Remote, anywhere in the United States

  • Accountable for the definition, design, commitment, and execution of senior leadership team and board of director level compliance mandates for Microsoft's partner channel
  • Implements business vetting, anti-corruption, and associated controls for maintaining the integrity of partner relationships with legitimate legal entities
  • Authority on behalf of GCS/GPS as DRI for the Office of Legal Compliance, Vetting, and Anti-piracy teams for agreeing/maintaining acceptable level of risk across channel programs
  • Develops training / remediation programs for partners with high compliance risk; leads high-profile support escalations that typically involve GM/VP/C-suite level involvement
  • Decision maker for prioritization, staffing, and long-range-planning for partner-facing customer service & support ($60M/annual obligation) + program pipeline health and reporting/analytics
