We are part of the Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) organization, responsible for all in market Windows operating systems, and we deliver updates to every Windows-based device in the world to protect users and enable them to be productive. While Security remains our primary focus, we also enable our commercial and enterprise customers by enabling new device support, addressing reliability and upgrade blocking issues. Our work is critical for the Windows family of devices PCs, SurfaceHub, Hololens, Azure and more. We are an agile team and ship twice every month, impacting over a billion Windows devices in the ecosystem.

We are looking for a highly motivated PM Leader to help us in this mission. In this lead release manager role, you will work with multiple teams across the organization to identify and track key metrics, establish and manage schedules, manage risk and open issues, and communicate status to team members and customers. You'll work alongside the program management and engineering teams to drive improvements into our processes, documentation, and communication. You will be required to interact across the division, understand and communicate requirements and information efficiently and effectively, present to senior leadership, and develop relationships that lead to efficient problem solving. The ability to track multiple release activities simultaneously will be key.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of program/project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical knowledge of mobile and desktop technology and release intricacies
  • Technical expertise in building scalable systems and solutions
  • Ability to build trust with internal and external partners through quality delivery and integrity.
  • Ability to handle critical situations with confidence, directing the team towards effective response.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and apply learning to improve business outcomes, positive impact for the team and self.
  • Growth mindset by demonstrating the willingness to be open to new ideas with the ability to lead others along
