Are you passionate about building stronger teams and fostering employee connections to their organization? We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager who is passionate about employee culture and loves to use different forms of communication to connect and engage employees across a global organization. This role leads the internal communications strategy and execution for the Azure Core business and CVPs, reporting to the Azure Core Chief of Staff. Azure Core has employees across multiple sites throughout the world. We are looking for someone who will think creatively about different communication formats to inspire employees and foster a sense of community. The role manages an employee communications function that includes developing a comprehensive employee communications strategy aligned to our culture and business priorities, developing channels, developing a resourcing model, and creating and delivering content.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Journalism, Marketing or Communications or 4+ years equivalent industry experience
  • 7+ years communications, public relations, marketing or executive communications experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Microsoft's solutions, including customers and partner ecosystem
  • Exceptional messaging and writing skills
  • Know how to leverage multiple channels to land meaningful communications (events, video, social, etc.)
  • Knowledge of graphic design and multi-media creative (PowerPoint, Sway, videos, etc.)
  • Great attention to detail and ensures accuracy in all communications deliverables, regularity and adherence to deadlines for Rhythm of Business (ROB)
  • Strong cross-group collaboration skills and ability to drive coordination across all levels and stakeholders
  • Growth mindset and a pre-disposition to learning culture
  • Ability to manage multiple communication projects simultaneously and drive strong work-back plans
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and ability to adapt plans and approaches real-time to meet business needs
  • Business maturity and experience working with senior executives, and the ability to work independently; seeking guidance, coaching and assistance from both direct leadership and the CVPs as needed
  • Ability to see the big picture to determine how the fine details fit the broader strategy

  • Inform and engage internal audiences through employee and executive communications strategies and tactics
  • Provide local executive communications support and counsel, including incorporating company thought leadership in communications as well as counsel on situational and change management communications
  • Align messaging with external communications across business groups and functional areas
  • Collaborate with teams inside the organization as well as across our business partners in Finance, Marketing and the rest of C&AI to gather data and content for internal communications
  • Deliver senior executive level briefing materials, scripting/messaging for internal messages and events (including All Hands).
  • Drive communications to a worldwide audience of employees across many channels (email, video, Teams) - driving and enabling a consistent and communications plan and rhythm
  • Align messaging to corporate, Azure and Azure Core narratives
