Job Description:

The Azure Data product group is responsible for developing the ecosystem of data management and analytics services that are available globally available on Azure. These include relational capabilities such as SQL Database and Managed Instance, NoSQL technologies such as CosmosDB, and cloud scale analytics services such as Azure Synapse Analytics.

We are looking for a program manager to join our team in Azure Data to lead the product management of the core Azure Synapse Workspace platform.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years' experience in technical program management with a specialized focus on cloud networking and proven track record of product ownership or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with IP firewalls and isolation concepts in multi-tenant PaaS services.
  • Experience with Azure and on-premise connectivity mechanisms.
  • Experience working with highly available cloud services and core supporting concepts such as availability zones and geo redundancy.
  • Understanding of database and analytics systems fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with other foundational functional areas such as access control, provisioning monitoring, and management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to a small or large audience with confidence to land clear and articulate messaging for a given subject area.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent messaging and positing across different channels and content types
  • MBA or equivalent Masters degree
  • High enthusiasm, integrity, results-orientation, self-motivation, and resourcefulness in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaboration experience, ability to find win/win solutions and a proven track record of delivering success while working across organizational boundaries.
