As a member of the PM team, you will define and create the vision and roadmap for Core WAN network services. You will understand your customers goals and Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's) to define OKRs and make data driven decisions to deliver the needs of our global users. You will design and enable high quality capabilities and scenarios to meet those goals. You will be driving prioritization of critical investments across various teams and stakeholders to deliver high impact.

Basic requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering, a related field or relevant practical experience
  • 3+ years of Program Management experience with demonstrated successin leading large-scale implementations
  • 3+ years of experience supporting large-scaleenterprise grade networks, preferably in Routing and WAN connectivity
  • 2+ years of experience working with Agile (Scrum) methodology, driving prioritization, stack ranking, cross team dependency mapping and release/semester planning

Preferred requirements:

  • Understanding of networking concepts like OSI Model, WAN connectivity, routing protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF), DWDM, circuit types such as MPLS and point-to-point
  • Experience leading a service engineering team, translating customer needs and technical requirements into service architecture.
  • Proven sense of high accountability and self-motivation to take on big challenges
  • Demonstrated ability of managing multiple competing priorities, be organized and detail oriented; making data driven decisions and result/ROI focused delivery
  • Strong cross-organizational collaboration skills in a highly matrixed organization to solve challenging business/technology problems, and impact for influence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior leaders and customers
  • PMI-ACP, PMP, CSM and/or CSP certification

Describe the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who has experience supporting Enterprise Core and WAN networks. Someone who is naturally curious and works well with ambiguity, and able to apply Program Management principles and processes to methodically deliver solutions. A PM who can partner across multiple delivery teams to bring great experiences to our customers and help Microsoft grow the business. Be comfortable being out front and leading, and work in autonomy as required. Capable of making trade-offs to achieve the best outcomes for our customers, stakeholders and Microsoft.

As a Program Manager, you will:

  • Provide service leadership for all aspects of your service - understand the end-to-end flow, and how your service enables your customers
  • Be customer-focused, striving to understand the true problems that we need to solve
  • Translate customer, business, technical needs and requirements into specs that engineering can execute and deliver, with focus on live-site services.
  • Create a Plan of Record/roadmap items, proactively identify and manage risks and issues
  • Lead the design of process and technology solutions that enable measurable performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and service level indicators (SLIs) for your program.
  • Evaluate and implement automation, process re-engineering and tooling solutions toincrease service stability.
  • Build and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships across a range of diverse stakeholders with inclusion as a priority
  • Facilitate proactive planning, agreement on cross group delivery plan of record, smooth communication and risk/issue tracking and resolution.
  • Workindividually and with teams to drive reliability goals and objectives acrossservices.
  • Evaluate service feature requests, assist in prioritization, and analyze them for impact to operations and delivery cost.
  • Improve end-user experiences, service delivery, reliability, maturity, and scalability and lower operating costs.
