Job Description:

Responsibilities* Perform all mechanical assembly, functional tests, test setups, and finish operations on product line per blueprints and planning with little to no supervision.* Perform functional tests in such a manner to maximize quality and productivity while simultaneously working on multiple machines.* Determine the sequence of assembly & test operations in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Management System documents to optimize the process and achieve maximum productivity and quality.* Perform requirements involving, swaging, staking, drilling, bushing install and test per process specifications of sub-assemblies.* Work with hazardous chemicals such as: Acetone, Alcohol, paints, sealants, bonding solvents.* Prevent and monitor Foreign Object Debris.* Check and document drawing dimensions using measuring devices.* Part Mark product using provided equipment/tools.* Maintain orderly and retrievable records of work performed and complete records of test setups, work orders, photos, and procedures.* Use computer to read and interpret drawings and specifications.* Maintain an organized, clean and safe working area.* Adhere to cleanliness standards. (Pick up after oneself. Clean as you go)* Identify functional test applications suitable for computer automation and other opportunities for methods improvement.* With assistance determine cause and corrective action through failure analysis in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering and Quality Control.* Communicate in a professional manner with managers, supervisors and other associates to resolve job related issues or concerns.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: walk, stand, sit, talk and hear.* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception.* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.* Other tasks/duties/responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsExperience & Knowledge:* High School Diploma, (GED) or equivalent.* 2-4 years of experience preferred.* Safety orientated and willing to participate in continuous improvement team discussions.* General mechanical knowledge/background.Skills & Competencies:* Safe use of hand and power tools.* Ability to follow instruction. (oral and written).* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
