Our partner ecosystem is at the forefront of bringing this powerful mission -to life -and it is the Global Partner Solutions (GPS) organization that will drive the transformation of this ecosystem to accelerate cloud -adoption -for -customers, -partners -and Microsoft. -The ISV ecosystem -is at the center of this evolution and our team that leads this area of the business -embodies a culture of -diversity, -growth, -and collaboration, making it a place where teams are challenged, learn, excel, and can do their best work. - - -This role is a unique leadership opportunity to shape the direction of the -world's largest -strategic software partner ecosystem -across -Microsoft's -ISV partner -channels. -As the -ISV Business Strategy and Field Programs Director, you will have the opportunity to drive one of the fastest growing businesses at Microsoft that is at the leading edge of the shift to cloud services and digital transformation. - -This senior leader represents Microsoft's ISV strategy to the -Partner ecosystem -broadly, our -active -ISVs directly, our field teams and our corporate stakeholders. - - -The -ISV -Business Strategy -and Field Programs -Director -is an -influential role within the -Microsoft Customer and Partner -Solutions (MCAPS) organization -and across Microsoft. The charter of the -leader -and -their -team is to -build, design and lead the -Sales -Strategy and -Field -Programs team. -This role will -design -the -end to end -vision and priorities for the ISV business -across industries and the Microsoft Cloud. -Aligned to this, the team has specific accountabilities -to -execute -ISV priorities by Solution Area -- -Azure, M365 [Teams and Security], and Business Applications. - - -This leader -is responsible for accelerating our partners' transformation to the Microsoft Cloud -and -to -evangelize and distinguish Microsoft cloud from other cloud providers. -They must think ahead, lead from the front, and -seek out ways to disrupt markets with new -ISV -business practices -from recruit to building solutions and bringing those solutions to market successfully. -ResponsibilitiesISV -Partner Strategy: - -Set strategy -for -how the -ISV -and -MCAPS organization -will provide -engagement, expertise, and resources to -lead ISV -innovation and growth. - -Determine & execute a common framework for ISV engagement globally, by worldwide area and at scale. - -Drive a fly wheel between strategy and execution to consistently design, land, evaluate and improve ISV execution. -Maintain a regular cadence with -ISVs and -the worldwide Area ISV leaders. - - -Lead global and field sales model execution including Managed -Partner coverage, Partner sales role priorities, -compensation priorities, -and reporting for execution excellence. - - - -Research market opportunities and gather ISV and field feedback to design programs and incentives to maximize the value our field sellers and channel can bring to customer and partners. - - -Partner closely with -leadership across -GPS, Sales, -Marketplace, Global Demand Center, Engineering, Marketing, and other -Microsoft -partner -resources to design and land the -ISV vision and strategy. -Business Leadership: - -Make business and investment decisions and drive orchestration (including sales, technical, go-to-market, and channel management) to grow Microsoft's -business and impact across the ISV partner portfolio. - -Ensure -excellence in execution of GTM, incentive -and co-sell -programs -with partners. - -Design and lead -global -business -performance discussion -building -a consistent WW -scorecard and -rhythm across the GPS ISV Teams and reporting back into and through corporate stakeholders. - - -Lead our global Assisted Growth -program to provide scale coverage for 1000+ partners engaging with Microsoft across our worldwide areas. -This program is accountable for the full lifecycle of solution building, publishing, co-selling -and -delivering results. - - -Team Leadership -& People Management: - -Lead a team of Solution Area aligned Sales Strategy Leaders to ensure we have the right investments and prioritization across ISVs. -Lead our offers and investment strategy delivering programmatic ISV investments as well as flexibility for custom deals - globally and in the field. This leader will be expected to personally engage in deal design -providing -creative solutions -to accelerate ISV partnerships. - - - -Recruit, retain, -and -develop -a -diverse, -world-class team that will transform and grow partners' businesses -across the -Microsoft cloud and guide partners to build Microsoft solutions and services aligned with market opportunities. - -Oversee and be responsible for team commitments, -performance -and career discussions. - - -QualificationsExperience in -partner strategy, -alliance management, enterprise sales, channels, and marketing -is -required. Effective people management, business management, and communication skills are critical. The ability to write and present complex ideas and concepts to a wide range and size of audiences, from CVP to -individual field sellers is critical. - - -Deep understanding of -ISV -partner business models, industry and competition, digital transformation drivers, cloud platforms, emerging computing trends and their impact on the partner eco-system. -15+ years of related experience in Global, Area level Business Management as a leader of Sales, Customer, Partner teams selling technology solutions/practice development, Cloud/Infrastructure technologies. -Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences. -Extensive experience of managing people and virtual teams across functions and -global -geographies -Inclusive and collaborative - driving teamwork, -diversity, -and cross-team alignment -Able to motivate -teams -and manage complex people dynamics. -Working knowledge of enterprise software management practices, including selection, deployment, and management processes. -Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers and emerging trends as well as the impact of these on Software and Services partners and their customers. -Exceptional decision-making, conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiation skills. -BS/BA degree required. -MBA or equivalent experience -a plus. -Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
