Compensation : $58,000 - $60,000. DOE

The Development Officer, Corporate Relations expands Hopelink's profile in the local business community through cultivation and stewardship of corporate donors and procurement of corporate gifts and sponsorships for annual campaigns and events. This position reports to the Development Director, Giving.

The ideal candidate possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills along with the ability to think critically and the flexibility to prioritize changing needs They possess an understanding of not-for-profit database and fundraising needs with an ability to speak and appeal to corporate representatives at all levels of leadership. Professional maturity and respect for donor and client confidentiality is essential to success in this role and experience should indicate an interest and commitment to working in the not-for-profit sector.

Hopelink Development staff work in an entirely hybrid model. All staff person's schedules are based on both flexibility, and the requirement to meet the needs of the department and overall agency. -Leadership, and All Staff meetings will take place in-person, all other meetings are subject to the discretion of your manager. - -Must be within commute-distance to Redmond, WA.

Essential Functions:
(Note: -Any one position may not include all the functions nor do the listed functions include all tasks that may be found in positions of this class.)
Maintains current corporate donor portfolio through strategic engagement and donor cultivation practices.
Researches and identifies potential corporate donors.
Establishes and manages an ongoing method for solicitation and cultivation of new corporate donors.
Maintains system to track status of key business donors as well as activities to attract new donors. Prepares contact and status reports.
Works with Development Director, Giving to identify and implement strategies to pursue new revenue streams or development activities for agency support; to create an annual budget and track progress to goal.
Develops corporate sponsorship solicitation materials for campaigns and events.
Prepares donor proposals including grants for underwriting and ongoing corporate sponsorship opportunities.
Coordinates and executes corporate sponsorship appeals for Hopelink's campaigns and events; Supports peer-to-peer fundraising efforts.
Conducts agency tours for business leaders interested in learning more about Hopelink.
Speaks to community and business groups to generate interest in Hopelink business giving opportunities.
Participates as a team member in supporting Hopelink activities when needed (may include weekend and evening work) including staffing or attending events.
Coordinates additional postal mail and email campaigns as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum two years of direct experience in corporate sponsorship, fundraising, and relations.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, work experience, and/or military service.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with Microsoft Planner is a plus.
Experience with database operations, with knowledge of tracking gifts and donor activity.
Proficiency in communicating with C-Suite and senior management executives.
Ability to work effectively as a team member with other employees, managers, and directors within Hopelink and with potential corporate supporters.
Ability to distill complex Agency needs into clear, competitive, targeted funding requests.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and can reset priorities at any given time-able to work under time and deadline pressures.
Perform duties with a critical eye for details.
Exceptional communication skills - ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with potential and current funders and community members.
Experience with nonprofit fund-development databases. Raiser's Edge a plus.
