We are looking for a self-directed, organized, and customer service focused Accessibility Coordinator to join our team! You will be working at one of the largest production facilities on the West Coast.

The Accessibility Coordinator brings knowledge of media accessibility services to productions and events, providing recommendations, solutions and cost estimates to production teams. The AC works with suppliers to scope, track, deliver and bill for accessibility services.

As an Accessibility Coordinator, You Will

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on our Accessibility service offerings as well as Microsoft Accessibility standards and guidance.
  • Consult clients and partners on their accessibility needs, design and propose solutions. Provide examples to set expectations on what is possible.
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers and clients/event producers about project details (scope, turnaround, cost, etc). Provide suppliers with best estimates on upcoming projects. Create and share tracking documents.
  • Track accessibility costs for events and other large projects, making sure accurate totals are reported in ShowMGR or elsewhere.
  • Partner with ESC Accessibility subject matter experts to drive MPS/ESC toward standardized processes and services across events and projects. Ensure these standard processes and services bring every event or project a high level of quality and consistency in accessibility. Help to streamline or find efficiencies whenever possible.
  • Educate and drive best practices for accessibility services. Create events for teaching/learning.
  • Ensure accurate billing from suppliers, including checks of monthly line item breakdowns from suppliers to align with MPS data for AD and captioning. Send reports or issues to FTE PO owner for invoice approval.
  • Manage localization elements (translations) for events when done through accessibility suppliers.
  • Current MPS accessibility offerings are captions (closed and open) and audio descriptions, but this role may expand to include other services in the future such as ASL, depending on need.
    As a Candidate, You Bring
    • Experience working with media accessibility services such as captions and audio descriptions.
    • Knowledge of technical aspects of accessibility in media, including caption formats, video and audio file formats.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to scope and tracking large projects from genesis to completion.
    • Ability to adapt quickly to handle projects with many moving pieces and last-minute changes.
    • Dedication to customer service and satisfaction
    • Self-motivated, demonstrated capability of working effectively unsupervised
    • Excellent attention to detail
      NOTE: This role does not include judging specific cases of compliance/non-compliance. AC can offer advice on Accessibility standards and best practices and direct people to resources who can help make those determinations, usually a CELA Accessibility specialist.

      Compensation:

      Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000 (Annually)

      The successful candidate's starting pay within this range will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.

      Benefits:

      Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
