Aon is looking for a Patent AnalystAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting our New Ventures Group, specifically Intellectual Property solutionsYour impact as a Patent AnalystAs a Patent Analyst in Aon Intellectual Property Solutions, you will collaborate in the development and delivery of strategy and other consulting service projects, as part of a small team of IP professionals. These service projects are foundational to our relationship with clients, are intended to drive growth in clients' enterprise value, and are essential to the evolution of our business. In this role, you will work closely with clients and more senior team members to assess clients' business objectives and to tailor project scope, content, and implementation to best address those objectives. You will perform IP and other research and analysis and prepare detailed reports and presentations to summarize findings and provide recommendations/conclusions. You will help develop a team of less experienced IP professionals supporting that work. Your experience and judgement will be essential to the delivery of superior results to clients. You will contribute to a range of projects for different clients, involving different types and mixes of IP, different technology/market sectors, and different transactional and other business contexts. In addition, you will work with more senior team members on select projects involving organizational managementTo be successful in this role, you should be prepared to respond promptly, thoughtfully and effectively to changing client needs, workenvironments, and team priorities. You should be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with internalteam members, other Aon colleagues, clients and other stakeholders. You will be essential to the efficient functioning of our team.Job Responsibilities:

Enjoy collaborating with more- and less-experienced team members on consulting projects such as foundational landscape analyses, IP valuations, patent acquisition strategies, due diligence assessments, insurance underwriting related to IP, written reports and presentations, newslettersSupport the creation of project proposals tailored to client business objectives and constraintsWork collaboratively with clients and other team members in the delivery of services Participate in presentations to clients, presenting select content and addressing select issuesServe as a key resource to the team by independently seeking out answers to questions and taking theinitiative to address project needs Demonstrate an ability to identify and prioritize the important work, address pressing issues and establish process improvementsEngage with members of Consulting team to gain a deep understanding of existing systems, the underlying data, and how each system supports the businessAggregate and analyze data across multiple systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistencyUtilize and maintain various databases as requiredUtilize queries to retrieve, analyze and manipulate data as necessaryIdentify opportunities for improvement across our current software platform and recommend solutions to ensure maximum efficiency and utilizationPerform hypothesis testing, efficiency testing, target customer, and market research for building and expanding IPS proprietary toolsHave access to internal and external resources for client and industry researchPrepare to shine, as you analyze data and produce high quality spreadsheets and other outputs using public and proprietary analytical tools and methodsEnjoy open communication to leaders and team members Other duties and projects as assignedYou Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Skills and Experience2+ years of analyst experience.Advanced level of computer literacy, including intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access and database design, with Python and/or data visualization experience a plusDemonstrated critical thinking skillsTeam player with good communicationHighly organized.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Able to manage multiple priorities with flexibility and adaptability to rapid growth or change.Work effectively and professionally with employees in multiple locations.Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information.Strong attention to detail.Comfortable giving and receiving feedback.Experience with legal and/or consulting industry a plus.Preferred Experience:
Experience with multiple domains of IP practice (e.g., more than one of asset development, risk mitigation, data and analytics, portfolio management, licensing, transactional due diligence, patent and non-patent IP assets/risks). Engineering or technical training highly desiredExperience with a wide range of publicly available IP analytic tools and other resources, including IP portfolio management databases.Relevant IP experience, preferably including time working as part of an in-house IP team.Education:
