Job Description:
At Reality Labs Research (RL-R), our goal is to explore,
innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for
the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality
experiences. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical
Engineer to join our team, whose mission is to design, build, and
test prototype electrical systems for future consumer VR and AR
experiences. We are specifically looking for a candidate with a
strong wireless system background. You'll design and specify the
wireless system architecture, protocol and procedure fitting the
future VR/AR research devices with stringent functional, quality,
footprint and power requirements. Alongside you is a team of EE's,
adjacent engineering disciplines, and research scientists to drive
research efforts from proof-of-concepts to full wearable systems.
The systems we work with could have ASICs, microcontrollers,
microprocessors, FPGAs from simple to large, displays, audio,
inertial sensors, haptic interfaces, image sensors, and high speed
I/O. They will have the ability to work with a team of researchers
with tolerance for a high degree of ambiguity. More broadly, the
chosen candidate will work with a diverse and highly
interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have
access to cutting edge technology, resources, and testing
facilities.
