SUMMARY:
Oversees and coordinates all aspects of hardware peripheral accessory evaluation business to drive mechanical, electrical, and regulatory testing and verification. Provides project management support for the global organization. Assures product quality and manufacturability in all phases of the product lifecycle using engineering tools and methodologies. Supports and troubleshoots automated and manual production processes.




DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:


  • Provides day-to-day guidance to junior level engineers to perform tests and evaluations of hardware peripheral accessories to determine compliance with Nintendo standards.
  • Effectively implements project management methodologies to carry out projects from conception to completion and ensures project goals are achieved.
  • Collaborates with Nintendo Company Limited (NCL) to define and develop processes and requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Designs, develops, and tests electronic systems, components, or circuits in support of hardware peripheral accessory evaluation and core product testing.
  • Coordinates with internal departments and outside companies to meet quality and scheduling objectives.
  • Participates in product and process-related continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Performs electronic and software design.
  • Documents all testing activities and guideline updates per Nintendo standards.
  • Develops systems and/or methods in support of core product testing and modification projects.
  • Provides technical problem analysis and solutions in support of core product testing.
  • Provides on-site support for production/packaging teams and quality control groups

    SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:


    • Eight to Ten years of related experience
    • Strong knowledge of electronics and electronic design
    • Strong knowledge of video game hardware accessories and circuitry testing methodologies
    • Knowledge of global regulatory standards for toy safety and EMC
    • Knowledge of product evaluation of consumer electronics
    • Programming skills in VBA, C & C++
    • Knowledge of scheduling, planning and tracking
    • Technical writing skills
    • Ability to communicate in fluent verbal and written Japanese and English
    • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field





      This position includes a base salary range of $101,315 - $151,973 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.       This position is hybrid/onsite in Redmond, WA and is not fully remote. Relocation assistance available.
