Project Architect Job Description:About the Job:We are searching
for a creative, collaborative multi-family Project Architect to
join our growing Design team at Bode. Bode is an established,
vertically integrated multi-family development company with
in-house planning, development, design, construction, facilities
and property management. Since 1990, Bode has developed throughout
the Puget Sound focusing on affordable housing in accessible, urban
locations.We are rapidly growing and evolving our business model to
meet current and future needs of urban housing. Our ideal candidate
is flexible, collaborative, positive and experienced in site plan
development, multi-family building design, permit set development,
building code compliance and consultant coordination. This person
will regularly collaborate with internal and external
cross-functional teams yet is able to work quickly and
independently. Superb project management and communication skills
are imperative.Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Responsible for managing the architectural
process, schedule adherence, concept development and construction
administration. Regular collaboration and communication with
design, construction, consultants and other stakeholders so the
project meets the desired objectives within the allocated budget
and timeline.
- Design and Planning: You will be responsible for creating
innovative and functional architectural plans that promote
sustainability and livability. You will coordinate jurisdictional
submittals and review comments, site plan design and development,
building design, and coordinate all aspects of design within the
Bode standard.
- Technical Expertise: You have a strong understanding of
construction materials, building systems, structural, MEP
engineering principles and how they integrate into building
designs. All designs must meet the highest standards for safety,
durability, and building efficiency. Revit proficiency is
required.
- Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication and
collaboration with all teams and consultants are crucial in this
role. You will present design concepts, coordinate with engineering
and construction teams, and address any concerns or modifications
throughout the project lifecycle. You will schedule and lead all
project specific consultant coordination calls, communications and
follow up.
- Quality Assurance: You will be responsible for ensuring that
the final product meets the highest quality standards. This
includes reviewing all plans for consultant conflicts,
constructability, adherence to Bode specifications, code and
graphic standards.
- Research and Innovation: Continuing education is essential and
encouraged. You embrace learning about current trends,
technologies, and sustainable practices in multi-family housing and
strive to incorporate innovative design solutions, energy-efficient
systems, and sustainable building materials into your
projects.
- Leadership and Mentorship: You provide guidance, mentorship,
and support to your team members, fostering professional growth and
encouraging a collaborative work environment.Qualifications +
Experience Requirements:
- 5-7 years min experience drafting and leading the development
of fully permitted multi-family projects
- Revit expertise, Bluebeam and ACAD proficiency
- Ability to read and quickly interpret complete drawing sets,
building code research, understand technical material and building
materials specifications
- Manage future VDC obligations
- Experience coordinating MEP, Structural, Civil, Landscape and
Energy consultants
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Architecture or
Engineering
- Understanding of common site logistics, building systems and
related means and methods
- Must be self-motivated who thrives working independently and in
